It was completely ridiculous. About a week later, Alex and I were in her car, driving 2 hours to New York City. I couldn't believe I was such a pushover for her and that I let her drag me into this but I guess I was just a sucker for anything she did.
"Can you put on 21 Guns?" Alex requested. I had plugged my phone into her car so we could listen to my music, which ended up working out since we had similar tastes in music.
"Okay. But after that, it's my turn to pick the song," I whined. I looked back over to Alex sitting in the driver's seat. She was a really focused driver and barely looked away from the road except to tell me what song to play next. I'd be lying if I said she didn't look even prettier today. "I meant to tell you earlier, you look nice today."
"Oh, thanks. I decided to dress a little nicer, not sure why." She said.
I just kept looking over at her every few seconds and I hadn't really realized I was doing that until she told me to stop.
"Why are you doing that? Stop." She said harshly.
"What?! I'm not even doing anything." I groaned.
"You know exactly what you're doing." Alex sighed.
"I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but I don't know what you're yelling at me for." I explained.
"Every time I look over at you from the corner of my eye, you're staring at me while biting your lip and that God damn lip ring." Alex said, trying to be serious, but she was blushing.
"You don't like my lip ring?" I asked.
"No. I really like it. And that's the problem." She looked out the other window trying to hide her red face.
"Okay thanks," I leaned back in my seat. "So you were checking me out?" I smiled. I was just trying to get under her skin.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked.
"You said you were looking at me out of the corner of your eye." I smirked.
"I was not checking you out. Don't flatter yourself." She laughed.
"Whatever you say." I sighed.
"Why are you flirting with me anyways? Don't you have a girlfriend or something?" She scoffed.
"Nope. As my friend Michael says 'I'm Pringle. It's like single, but hungry'." I said.
"I figured you had a girlfriend." Alex replied.
"I really don't have any female friends. If anything, you're the closest thing I have to a girlfriend." I laughed, knowing that would annoy her just a little.
"Watch yourself, Hemmo." She smiled.
--------- this is a really short chapter and sorry about that! I might add onto it later but this is just one of those "in between" chapters! I'm working on better chapters! xoxo
