the over-thinker stays awake
and before he knows it
he's defeated by the sunrise
in a snap of a finger
the overthinking becomes enormous
every blue feeling he encounters
it becomes oceans of water
every empty and lonely feeling
he becomes . . . . nothing
it's like a desert with no sand
or skies with no air
but he's left with oceans
oceans in his veins
he drowns,
he drowns,
and
he drowns
in the cold, empty nothingness
he catches himself
in the center of a
mysterious nowhere
people are nothing but volcanos
ready to erupt on his life
the over-thinker
is defeated by the daylight now
and he stays awake
