4. You're invited

Nichole's POV
I get home going right up to my room and I flop down on the bed. Ugh what a day it was, first I couldn't stop thinking about Sammie then I get lost, and let's not forget that I got a bloody nose. My thoughts shortly ended when my dad barges in the room, the gust of wind from the door swooshing open carries the smell of alcohol. Great he's been drinking already this ought to be fun. " heyyy Nichole how was your first day?" He says sluggishly his words slurring. I sit up on my bed and I look at him "it was fine now go away you're drunk". He narrows his eyebrows at me "who the fuck do you think you are talking to?" I slouch down a little "sorry dad it was fine." With that he walks out of the room. I get up grabbing my car keys and I head out for a drive to clear my mind. It's been a good 45 minutes since I left the house and I'm just sitting here in the parking lot near the store just starring out the window.

Sammie's POV
The girls and I have been in the store for the last hour shopping for things for my party tonight. That's right, the party that is welcoming our last first day of high school ever! After finally checking out we head out to the cars. Brandy taps me on my shoulder "hey isn't that Nichole's car? I wonder why she's just sitting there". I look over where she is looking and sure enough it was her. A big smile spreads across my face "I'll be right back finish loading the cars". I run over to her car and I tap on the window making her jump a little. When she realizes it's me a weak smile forms on her lips as she rolls the window down "hey sammie". I smile back at her "hey Nichole what are you doing here just sitting in the car? You okay it looks like you've been crying?". She wipes her face quickly "oh um yeah I'm fine just had to get away from my house for a bit". My smile disappears "oh I'm sorry. But um how about you like to come to my party tonight take your mind off somethings". A smile reappears on her perfect lips "yeah I'd love to". She hands me her phone and I put in my number and smiles "text me and let me know when you are on your way I'll give you directions". She looks in my eyes "sounds good see you later" I back away from the car and she takes off as I run back over to the other girls. "Okay ladies I got Nichole to come tonight" they all smile and load in the car. We all rush back to my house and start setting up for the party after we are finished, one by one the girls and I take turns getting showers and getting ready. I was last one done and I decided to put on jeans a pair of black and white nike sneakers and a black v neck shirt.

Nicole's POV
I rush home to get ready for sammie's part getting showered and dressed. Wearing a pink low cut shirt along with short shorts and a cute pair of all white nike sneakers. I quickly do my hair throwing it up in a high pony tail and doing my makeup. I text sammie for the address and within 3 minutes I get a text back "143 ash lane. Can't wait to see you!" I smile locking my phone slipping it in my pocket and I go down stairs leaving right away. After a 15 minute drive I pull up to the house. Wow was it big and there were a lot of cars there already. Someone likes to start the party early.
