Silva's POV
"Oh my, isn't she just adorable?!" Reiki didn't stand a chance when it came to Kikyo fawning over her. Despite my wife's overgrown belly, she was still able to rush towards Reiki, pick her up in her arms, and crush the small girl in her bosom; all while spinning around in utter joy.
"It would seem that we were worried for nothing." Dad smirked at me before heading over to give a greeting to my two boys that were standing not too far away. Illumi had a blank look, as he always does. Milluki seemed a little angry, he didn't like that Kikyo was all over Reiki. If there was a definite definition for mother's boy, Milluki's picture would be next to it.
Once we had boarded the airship, I let Dad be the one to explain to Reiki that she would be staying with us from now on. I went to call Kikyo to let her know of the whole situation. In this call, I explained how Reiki would be a valuable asset to the family, how her nen ability could possibly aid in the future, how we may be able to mold her into an assassin.
I was fully prepared to get an earful, have Kikyo tell me how foolish I was. But as soon as she heard that the child is from Meteor City, she accepted without hesitation. All while mumbling how she desperately wanted a daughter and how she must be special to even be considered for joining the family.
Reiki still seemed hesitant to adopt the last name, Zoldyck. This may be due to missing her friends there; But in time, she'll forget them.
She'll only know life as a member of the Zoldyck family.
"Hello miss." Reiki mumbled as loud as she could while still buried in Kikyo's chest.
"Miss.... Now that won't do. You are to call me mama."
"But mama!" And there is.
Milluki ran over to his mother, tugging at the fabric of her Victorian style dress. He glared at Reiki, who just cast down her eyes and avoid any contact with him.
"You're not even her mama."
"Milluki dear. Reiki here is now a part of our family. That makes me her mother and your sister." She placed Reiki down in from of Milluki; Illumi had joined the small group. His eyes remained emotionless, but I was able to tell he was silently assessing Reiki.
"So along with a new brother, we also gain a new sister. This should prove to be interesting." Illumi stuck his hand out. "Younger sister, I am Illumi."
Reiki looked into his eyes before looking down at his hand. Her eyes began to glow that color from earlier, she was examining him too.
"Your hand shows high levels of an extremely toxic substance. As does everything else here." She still reached forward and shook his hand.
"We as assassins need to train our bodies to withstand any form of poison. You will not go a day without it, whether it be on your clothes or in your food."
"Needless to say, your ingestion of poisons will start off on a small dose until you can work your way up to Illumi's tolerance." Dad walked towards Reiki, placing a hand on top of her small head.
"That is not necessary sir. My life as a Healer has made me immune to all toxins and poisons."
"Sir? Oh no no, you may call me Grandfather or Grandpa. But I will slap you if you even think of calling me Gramps."
The once timid girl let a small giggle.
Kikyo started acting up again, she grabbed onto the poor thing and began to swing her back and forth in her arms. Reiki's legs were practically flailing around with every movement.
"So cute! That red hair! Those blue eyes!" She held out Reiki to take a good look at her face. "You are just the cutest thing ever."
Kikyo soon had to place the young girl down; she placed her hand on her back, indicating that my son has decided to kick her in the kidneys.
Killua is going to be a handful.
Grandfather ordered Illumi and Milluki to take Reiki to her new room, that was already furnished with everything she would need. Milluki refused and stomped away to the kitchen. Illumi grabbed onto Reiki's hand and did as told.
This now just left the three adults.
"Illumi has taken to her." Dad was the first to speak.
"He knows that this is a decision that is beneficial to the family business. He will not go against our wishes."
"Milluki, on the other hand..."
"He is a part of this family. Even if he doesn't, he has to accept that fact also." Kikyo was always hard on Milluki, she was afraid that he would not live up to his potential.
Illumi had surpassed all of our expectations. Milluki showed not much promise. Now Reiki will be the one to get that attention.
"Darling, I admit, I was skeptical at first. But upon seeing Reiki...That red hair, those blue eyes, her knowledge and her nen, I can sense it from here. With the proper training, she will make an exceptional assassin. With the looks to lure any man or woman, and the technique to kill."
