It has been almost three weeks since Hinata was released from the hospital. Naruto whenever he was not teaching the academy was always "following" Hinata. As Hinata has been getting an unusual amount of missions, Naruto does not appreciate it. Today, however, was different Naruto was really angry at Kakashi for giving Hinata yet another mission, and this one she had to do alone, so he stormed into the Hokage's office.

"Kakashi Sensei!!!" Naruto screamed slamming the door open in his usual way.

"A very good morning to you to Naruto" Kakashi said, a smile reached his eyes.

"Why are you doing this?" Naruto whined, he knew Kakashi knows what he is feeling. But Kakashi would not let him be off so easily, he wanted his student to confess to him, so he decided to play dumb.

"What are you talking about Naruto?" he said resting his chin on his wrists.

"You know damm well what I am talking about, Kakashi Sensei."

"Hm... I'm afraid I have no idea, Naruto."

"Why- why are you giving Hinata so many missions?" Naruto said trying to sway the conversation. He was not in the mood to confess anything, not in front of his perverted teacher.

"Oh," he acted surprised, "well for starters, she's very capable and her Bakugan skills are number one, so I have no other option to give her missions," Kakashi said, as Naruto took a seat in front of him, "these jobs fit her level. Plus, she asked me to give her more missions," he added the last part which was true.

"Yeah, no kidding she's amazing" Naruto blurted out, and then his face turned red and he shifted uneasily in his chair. He continued, "what I mean is her skills are amazing but don't you think it's dangerous for her to send alone on a mission?"

"Well," Kakashi said, enjoying himself, "she's a Jonin level kunoichi so I don't think there's any problem in sending her into dangerous missions, that's literally is her job. Why are you so worried about her? Shikamaru barely escaped death in his last mission, are you going to ask me to stop sending you," Kakashi paused, and putting more emphasis he said, "friends."

Naruto was beetroot red. He knew what was coming, he knew what he had to confess. But it felt so hard, he didn't want anyone to know but her. Just thinking about Hinata made him lose touch with reality and he went into a sweet dream-like world.

"Naruto, may I ask you a question?" Kakashi said, breaking Naruto's dream-world where he was lying on the grass with Hinata, holding her tiny hands in his.

"Yeah, sure."

"Why such a sudden interest in Hinata?"

"Oh well, you know... she's a dear friend and I care about her... and we went to the mission together and well... you know she's great and she's so kind to me and I miss her..." he stopped mid-sentence and Kakashi's face with the softest expression ever.

"You just saw her yesterday, how can you miss her?" Kakashi pressed on the subject. Naruto thought about diverting the question but he knew Kakashi. He knows what Kakashi was hunting for, the only problem was saying it out loud. The thought of saying that to someone else made Naruto dizzy, sweaty and happy at the same time.

"Because... because.." Naruto chocked.  Why was this so hard? Why couldn't he just say it? The room was closing in on him, he knew he had to do something, say something right now. He had to muster up all the courage he has and tell Kakashi. Because if he cannot confess to Kakashi, how is he ever going to confess to Hinata?

"I love... I love Hinata."

"Good. Now go tell her that too," Kakashi said, once again his smile reaching his eyes.
