Sans couldn't help but to grin stupidly at his phone after hanging up the call. He was actually meeting up with her, his little mystery caller. It always feel... nice, when talking to her. It had been a literal hell the two first years on the surface and stuff had finally began to loosen a bit over this year. It was stressful for him and he had began to put up an extra gruffer persona. it made it so that humans that would abuse that stupid law that they couldn't get charged on killing monsters go for the large grumpy guy who would probably not hesitate to scar, or worst kill, you if you so much as breathe. He had heard form his brother that seemed to take it more easy on the surface as well that the old king had finally manage to get some better monster rules. life should probably become a lot more fairer. maybe if karma was nice he could actually live a happier life.

To his surprise it seemed like it was actually going that way form the first call from the mystery lady. it always feels good to just lay everything on the table. vent, talk and joke around for hours on end. it felt like they already had meet millions of times before. she apparently lived near him. it was a big city so it wouldn't be easy to single her out. he chuckled at the thought that they may have walked past each other on the street. he wondered about what she actually looked like. she most likely was a human, a wonderful at that. she could have been a monster with a secret softer side like himself. that would be pretty ironic when they met if the sweet lady was as equally an scary and gruff looking monster like himself. but if she wasn't...

What would she think when she saw him. would see actually approached him, looking for anyone else that just wasn't him. he didn't know why that stung as much as it did. to see the disappointment and fear in her eyes. maybe they would just abandoned him right there. then he would lose someone that knew so much about him. someone who actually had seen his weak side. someone he had never seen in person before but he cared about nearly as much as his own brother. What if they meet up and she would never call again... but what if she did. she wouldn't just be his little mystery caller, she would be known as just her name, or whatever nicknames he would give her it this continued. and a big part of him wanted this to continue.

He finally dragged himself out of bed. work would start soon so he should probably not fall asleep again. quickly heading into the kitchen to grab a snack before walking outside. snow lightly fell from the darkened sky. he was too much into the city to see the actual stars. hopefully soon he could move more to the outskirt when the laws came out that made dealers not deny monsters buyer. then he could watch the stars every time he couldn't sleep, instead of staring into the darkness of his room. Sans would usually teleport to most places when he was going anywhere, but he also loved late night walks. It was quiet and more peaceful. most humans and weaker monster would probably try their best not to walk around at night. the mugging, murders and assault that the news channel seemed to have multiple new stories every night that only strike more fear into the people. but not Sans, being as tall and scary looking as he was.

He walked slowly down the street toward the club he worked as a bouncer at night. guess looking intimidating actually could help you get a job at the surface, or else it would be really difficult for him to find a job. he didn't mind the slow walking pace he had. if he was about to be late he could just teleport over there. Staying in bed until last minute was something he may commit to most times, but he really enjoyed having night time walk in the city. his hand fishing up a cigarette from his cigarette pack and lighting it. the smoke flaring around the cold night. he looked down a street and caught a glimpse at a statue. the statue in the center were an important encounter would happen soon. a true smile spread over his face as he puffed out another smoke cloud. he couldn't wait until Saturday.
