the two of you just kept staring at one another. the buzzing and noise of the city around being toned out. it was like you two were the only people alive on the planet. your thumb slowly going over to the phone and cancelling the call. The universe was really a sick place wasn't it. pulling jokes like this. "So... um" the quiet and anxious voice you had at work came back. you could get why he might not recognize you from there.you sounded way more confident in the comfort of your own home. at work i was hard to speak so your voice was usually more quiet and careful, But who could anyone that gruff voice he had ordering at your work sound so relaxed and chill over the phone. it looked like he could snap your neck only using two fingers.it was actually quite funny seeing his shocked face, and you could only guess yours didn't look that much different. your face became flustering by his lack of reply and continuing staring. "Just... just say something. your making it... it more embarrassing than it's already needs to be!" you managed to stammer out.

he shook his head and his eye light, pinprick, things, got larger. "YOUR my lonely caller?" he said shocked and a few beads of red sweat could be seen forming on his skull. "YOUR, Red?" you shoot back which was only followed by more silence. "I... I knew this was a mistake. I will... I will just get out of your way." you turned to scatter away form the seen and deleting his number. heart breaking in your chest as you tried your best not to cry in front of everyone here. "Wait!" his hand shot forward and grasped yours. you had never seen a guy so nervous looking as him at this moment."Lets... let's start over again. on a new page. okay?" his eyes was pleading with you. "at least let us continue this meetup as intended, at least let us sit down somewhere." he shoot when he noticed you hesitating. "okay" you quietly said. both of you let out a breathe that neither knew they were holding.

He guided you to an cafe not far from the statue. not many people in there and the the atmosphere was calming. after buying something warm to drink then made the two of you sit in a booth in the corner farthest away from the entry. swallowing the lump in your throat before deciding to peak. "Why are you... so mean at my work?" you had immediately went to cover your mouth. eyes staring in front of you in pure terror. thankfully he laughed it off, not looking so offended. "Guess I should have seen this one coming. what can I say, not the greatest place underground as you may have heard." he leaned back and thoughtfully looked up at the roof. "The first year her was hard. monsters wasn't allowed to move above ground and Asgore was left with a loot of meeting and paperwork. had to make some new rules for us. wasn't before a year of freedom we were allowed to buy houses up here. it have been tense ever since we arrived. things are finally beginning to calm down a bit. guess I just feel the need to sill have my gruff persona I had in the underground."

"is there anything that stayed the same from the change?" you felt a bit bad with all the negativity thrown at the monsters. "what can I say. I never lost my funny bone." something just hit you as you sputter out the words you were supposed to form to a sentence. "This is why you always said those skeleton puns?!" his grin seemed to widen. "What can I say. I do have a tone of them, a skele-ton," he winked at you. not having much time thinking over skeleton fysik thanks to laughing at his pun. "What can I say. they are pretty humerus:" you shoot back. his grin spread even more. you awaken a monster and the cafe got filled with a bunch of puns. you couldn't skele-run from his skele-puns. It was, relaxing. after breaking tense air with jokes and laughter made it more like when you were talking to him over the phone. past meeting from work forgotten as you spoke to the guy you had spilled your heart and feelings out in long night conversations when neither could sleep.

"Hey, are you hungry? I don't think I'm that fondant on eating cakes for lunch." Giggling a bit on another on his stupid, but not so stupid, puns. "Yeah, I'm getting a bit hungry. lunch sounds good." "Alright, take my hand." raising your eyebrow you slowly took a hold of his hand. not having time to ask why before he dragged you closer, placing the had on your hip and telling you to close your eyes. the atmosphere seemed to change as you cling to his jacket. feet finally landing on solid ground as you looked up to met his smug face staring down at you. releasing who close up you must be in his personal space and that you were grasping the front of his jacket made you glowing read and sputtered out random words while jumping back a few meters. he only chuckled and waved his hand to let you to follow him

he opened the door of the establishment you were in front of. multiple calls and welcome to 'Sans' ran out when he entered. you slowly following after and trying to not get noticed as much. that quickly went wrong with all the mixture of smug and shocked eyes landing on you. looking down at the floor you quickly made your way over to the empty bar seat next to Red, or well Sans apparently. "You seems really popular here, Sans" he chuckled again and caught a side glare at you. "what can say, I'm quiet a regular. Guess I never really introduce myself. so am I going to get your name or will it continue to be a mystery?" his joking tone got you a bit of ease and the deeper tone made a blush creep up on your face. with a small smile on your face you properly introduce yourself. You got the menu and looked through the options. Eyes becoming as big as a dinner plates when meet with the over. you could say he was literally a hot guy.

"Do you drink?" his question caught you a bit of guard while browsing the menu. "Um, yeah?" your reply sounding like a question. "Great. hey Grilbz, give me to Ecoflower together with the meals." brows knitted together at the beverage name. you had never heard about it in your life. and when it was being handed over to you left you in awe. the drink was swirling around with different hue of blue. small lighter schemes in it seemed to glow and light up your hand as you held it. finally taking a sip only to let out a surprised sound. taking the glass away and liking your lips. the drink was a weird indescribable, tasting quiet sweet wit a bitter undertone and leaving your tongue a tiny bit tingly. a "wow" escape your mouth that Sans couldn't help but chuckle at.

"Newer tasted something like that before sweetheart?" he teasingly asked before taking a swig at his own. "No, what is it?" you quickly took another swig after asking. trying to place the taste. "monster alcohol made from echoflowers. Grilbz had, and still has the best type. no alcohol can compete to his" As soon as he finished his sentence, two delicious looking burgers was placed in front of the two of you. Sans simply drowned the whole thing in mustard as you took your first bite. eyes quickly lighting up by how good it was. "Holy shit"

"Good?" he asked smirking while taking a swig from the... mustard bottle? "It the best burger I have ever eaten. if you have a place like this, why did you show up to get the shity burgers form my work?" no wonder he looked so grumpy all the time if he had to downgrade to fast food junk. "This place just got renovated. some racist human came and destroyed a good chunk of the place with their friends. left a lot of stuff to get fixed up." you expression saddens."and what can I say, I have a crawling on junk food. gotta find a replacement in the meantime."

light chatter that were helped with the booze and good food made it a fun time together. laughing at stupid things and everything that popped up in each others head. laughing like two long time friend living in another country finally meeting up again. finally saying stop on the alcohol before everything went black for you. keeping a mostly straight mind. the drinks only left you feeling giddy. walking with Sans back toward your apartment. feeling safe in the gates with your 'guard dog' in the dead of night. "We gotta meet again soon. I'm really glad I answered that first phone call" Sans said, a nearly burnt out cigarette in between his teeth. "Agreed... this is my apartment building so I guess this is where our paths separate. you have my number, so just text me the next time you think your free" leaning up an placing a small kiss on his cheekbones before going to up the stairs to the door.

"Wait a minute sweetheart, I remember I forgot something." turning around to ask him what was immediately abrupter with a pair of skele-lips pressing against yours. barely getting any time to register it or kissing back before it was over. a wide grin that made him look really sexy in the lighting of the night. "until next time sweetheart" he said in that deep voice of ours before he winked then disappeared. god you could not wait until his next call..
