Abi walks into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. There is a mix of every house. Now the classes are based on what people can be fit in with their extracurricular classes. The red head spots the other three sitting in various parts of the class. C is by Harry, Jas by Hermione, and Night by Neville. Leaving Abi a spot with her older brother. The two Weasley siblings jokingly nudge each other once she sits down. She looks back at C. Her hair is a mess and she looks like she hasn't slept in a while. Poor girl. Her eyes are red and puffy. Abi just wants to give her a hug.

Her mind going a million miles an hour. This is the first lesson with the Pink Toad and she is not sure how it will be. But based off of her gut feeling, she isn't sure about it. Soon the professor walks in. A piece of chalk floats up to write what she says.

"Ordinary. Wizarding. Level. Examinations. O.W.L.s. More commonly known as 'Owls'. Study hard and you will be rewarded. Fail to do so and the consequences may be... severe. Now I know your education has been choppy, so the Ministry has set up a safe and well organized system."

With that, textbooks float down the aisles placing itself on each person's desk. Abi had to choke back laughter looking at the cover. Defense Against the Dark Arts for Beginners. This woman is crazy. There are several people who have passed this. She alone has dealt with a basilisk, werewolf, dementors, Death Eaters, and Voldemort himself. Not in that exact order of course. And she isn't even the most experienced. Hermione closes the book and looks at Umbridge in disbelief.

"There is nothing on preforming spells," she points out.

"Why would you be needing to preform spells?" the woman asks.

"To protect ourselves," Harry counters. He is visibly annoyed. As it part of the class now. Umbridge attempts to smile.

"Who would want to hurt a bunch of children?"

"I-I don't know," Night speaks up. "From what I've heard, Voldemort is back."

Bloody Hell. The girl just spoke out against a teacher. She is usually respectful and quiet. This angers the teacher more.

"He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is not back."

This is when Abi speaks up.

"So Cedric's death was an accident then? Because I don't remember it that way, do you Harry?"

Ron is trying not to snicker next to her. She notices tears building up in C's eyes. She may have just gone a bit too far, but there is no stopping now. She is not letting the Hufflepuff's death being covered up. It is an insult to him.

"Mr. Diggory's death was an accident," Umbridge snaps. Her face red as a tomato. There is a loud slam as a textbook hits the floor. The entire class turns to see C holding herself up with the desk. Tears fall down her cheek as she sobs.

"Don't you dare say his death was an accident," she sobs, looking at Umbridge. The poor girl is falling apart at the seams. The last bit she screams. "He was murdered and you know it."

That last bit was not just to Umbridge, but those who didn't believe. She grabs her bag, storming out. Jas whispers something in Hermoine's ear.

"That's it," the teacher looses it. "Potter, Longbottom, Weasley, and Temple, you will be joining Smith with detention."

Well now this just made Abi's choice a little easier. She grabs her stuff and chase off after C. She hears others follow her. Night looks at her and Jas.

"This way," she states, leading the other two. The Gryffindor has honestly been surprising the Slytherin today. She does have a potential to lead if she wasn't so quiet. The three find C by the lake, throwing things in the lake screaming.

"C," Abi calls. The blonde turns, accidentally throwing a stick. Jas catches it just before she gets hit in her face. At least the girl has good reflexes.

"Sorry," C mutters.

"It's fine," the dark hair Ravenclaw promises.

''''

The four sit by the lake, watching slight ripples. C's head still aching from her breakdown. She still can't believe what happened. So the four of them been here since. Which has been almost an hour ago now.

"How do you feel about us being connected?" she asks the others.

"It makes some sense," Night states as she ties her hair back. "We are all considered freaks here. No offense, but sadly it is true. Plus there is the concept of reincarnation in several religions."

"But third should be the max for a hero," Jas interrupts. "Then again, there are exceptions to every rule. Gods know how many times my cousin's proved that."

"What do you mean?" C asks. Jas is a bit odd. She remembers being a transfer student, but everything was different than how it is now. Jas looks at the ground twisting her ring. Also this girl never seems to sit still. She twists it in a certain way and a knife appears. C automatically jumps back. Jas makes it disappear, holding up her hand.

"I won't hurt you," she promises. "I'm just not exactly a witch. I'm the daughter of Hades and a magician loyal to Thoth. Well, my mother was a witch."

"Y-you died," C recalls. "Dumbledore mentioned it."

"I was born in the forties," she states. "A monster killed me and my mother just as I found out the truth of my heritage. I somehow left the Underworld only to make some mistakes."

C nods her head, taking a deep breath. She lowers her robe and move her shirt, revealing her shoulder. A jagged cut moves along it. It clearly is healing, but will leave a scar. Abi turns red with rage.

"If I get my hands on those bastards-"

"You will do no such thing," C states, covering herself back up. "They probably know how to deal with a siren."

"Siren?" Jas asks. She had straighten, clearly in defense if need be.

"I can command people when I sing," the red head mutters. "I don't use my gifts if needed."

"It's impressive," Night adds. "She calmed entire crowd when there was a snake on the loose."

"What about you?" C asks her. "What makes you a 'freak'?"

"I-I... uh... I have-"

She mumbles the last bit where no one can hear it.

"Excuse me?" Jas asks.

"I have visions," she says louder. "And I hate it because I can't control it."

"Trelawney maybe able to help," Abi states.

"Which is why I take the class."

The four sit in silence. After so long, C breaks out laughing. A true genuine laugh that she hasn't had in so long. Everyone looks at her as if she lost it.

"We really are screwed up," she laughs. The others agree before they start laughing. All four lay back staring at the sky.

"I guess we found our group," Abi smiles.

"Seems so," Night responds.

"It's weird," Jas states. "I haven't had this really."

"We needed this," C adds. Everyone agrees.
