Weeks kept going by and I had gotten my period, even though Dylan and I had... "tried" a couple dozen times.

I didn't understand why I wasn't getting pregnant. So I told Dylan I was going to lunch with Macy on a Friday.

Instead I went to the pack nurse and of course being the luna, she made time for me.

She was waiting in a clinic room as soon as I arrived, it was so nice to have people waiting on me.

"Luna, please have a seat, make yourself comfortable!" the nurse said graciously, standing up to greet me.

I sat on the bed and put my feet up, leaning back and relaxing. It felt good honestly.

"I'm Nurse Heidi, why don't you tell me a little bit about why you came in today?" she smiled.

"Well," I shifted in the bed.

"Between you and me, Dylan- I mean the Alpha, and I have been trying for a baby the past few weeks. We've been very efficient in our methods but I'm still not pregnant." I sighed.

Nurse Heidi nodded, jotting down on her clipboard.

"Is there any way he can also like, not know that I'm here right now?" I smiled nervously.

"I won't send any notifications or reports, but if he checks the clinic history I can't hide this appointment." she scratched her head a bit and shrugged, giving a sorry look.

"As far as the issues you've been having, how long have you been off birth control?" she asked me.

"Almost three weeks now," I said.

"Well, that may have something to do with it. I want you to try out a couple things for the next two weeks and then come back for a follow-up. You'll need to eat more fiber, foods with a lot of antioxidants and absolutely no refined carbs or trans fats. Your fertility will be through the roof." she smiled.

"Thank you, Nurse Heidi." I said, heading back to work.

Dylan's office door was shut and I assumed he was getting some work done. So I sat down at my desk and did the same. I modified the times on Dylan's schedule a little, color coded his meetings based on category, and even alphabetized his employee's checks.

By the time I was done, Dylan came out of his office with his briefcase, indicating we were done for the day.

I ran to his side eagerly and he placed his hand on my ass as we walked down the hall.

When we got to our room he shut the door behind himself quickly, his attention on me. And I had to admit, I loved it. Who wouldn't?

"So how was your lunch, sweet mate?" he said lowly, wrapping his arms around me and pulled me closer to him as he inhaled my scent deeply.

"It was good!" I said a little too quickly. He let me out of his arms and raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Really? Because if your online medical profile is correct then you lied to me. And that's something worth a punishment." he said deeply.

"Dylan, wait, I'm sorry." I smacked my forehead. I should have known. But I had no idea he would find out this quick!

"Why did you do it? What's so secretive you didn't even have Heidi write up a report?" he interrogated me.

"I just wanted to know why I wasn't getting pregnant!" I said defensively, shrugging and crossing my arms.

"Really?" his expression softened a bit.

"Yeah, she gave me a whole new fertility diet and said it might be because I only stopped taking the pill three weeks ago." I said.

"Why didn't you just tell me that?" he asked me.

I shrugged a bit. I thought about it, and I didn't really have a good reason not to tell him, but sometimes emotions get in the way.

"I guess maybe I was assuming the worst and I didn't want you to be there if it was ultimately to find out I can't have children." I said honestly.

Dylan thought over my words for a moment before giving an understanding look.

"Even if you couldn't I would still love you the same, Quincy." he smiled and gave me a warm hug. He smelled so good and he made me feel so tingly.

"Well... lets just hope the diet works." I said nervously. Dylan gave me a reassuring look and it didn't feel so hopeless after all.

Besides, there were all sorts of things Dylan's pack could do for us if it didn't work. They were very medically advanced, we might even be able to grow a baby in a synthetic womb if it came down to it.

"Well I still think we should keep up the sex." Dylan smirked at me. I giggled and nodded in agreement, leaning over to give him a kiss.

"So, you're on the baby train?" Dylan asked me, his lip curled into a smile slightly.

"Choo-choo," I giggled, his strong arms wrapping around me to pull me closer against his hard chest.

"Good. You'll be such an amazing mother, Quincy. I can't wait until I get to smell your pregnant scent and see you with a little bump, knowing I'm the one who's responsible for it." he said, placing his hand on my belly and rubbing gently.

"I love babies," I smiled thinking about how adorable our children would be. I couldn't wait to be a mother, and I knew I wanted to do it with Dylan right by my side.
