The Rescue Mission: Book 3 of The Transformation

Chapter 3

I went back inside after about an hour or two. My knuckles were dirty, bleeding and a bit swollen. I tried to sneak to the shower but failed.

"Lexie! What happened to your hands?!" Jack said.

I flinched and turned around. "Be quiet, Jack. Gabe thinks I came in two hour ago." 

"But you didn't." 

"No shit. Gabe doesn't know that. Now, I'm gonna go upstairs and take a shower. Don't bug me for the next hour or so." That was all I said before I went upstairs. 

I sneaked into my room to grab clothes then went to my bathroom. I turned the water to scalding hot and stripped, then got in the shower. As I let the water run over my body, I let my mind wander. I started to think about Lacie. About where she was and whether or not she was okay. 

I wanted to try and reach her telepathically. If I could do that, I could figure out where she is. I out all of my concentration on her, on finding her. I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, I wasn't in the shower anymore. Nor was I naked. 

I looked around, trying to spot Lacie. Then I heard moaning. I looked in the direction of it. I saw a figure chained to a wall. I walked closer, trying to see who it was. They looked up. It was Lacie.

"Who's there?" She sounded terrified. 

"Lacie, it's me, Lexie. The others found me. We're coming to rescue you." I said. 

"STOP PLAYING TRICKS ON ME!" She shrieked. "YOU'RE NOT LEXIE!! You're just the murderer..." 

I didn't get the chance to say more before my connection broke. It took me a while to realize I was still in the shower. I quickly finished and got dressed. I ran into my room and quickly ran a brush through my hair. 

"Why are you rushing?" 

I jumped when I heard Elliot. I guess he'd been laying on the bed we shared and I hadn't noticed. 

I turned around. "I found her. Well, I didn't find her but I know where she is, in a general sense." 

He stood up. "Who?"

"Lacie!" 

That was all I said before I went down to the living room. Elliot followed me. Alice, Oz, Emily, and Luke were already down there. 

"Gabe! Jack! Gabriel! Sadie! Get in here!" I yelled. 

Gabe was in the kitchen with Gabriel. Jack was out side and Sadie came down the stairs. 

"What is it, Lexie?" Gabe asked. 

"I know where Lacie is."
