It's been about two weeks now, we settled down in a quarry with a pretty big camp. I've become pretty good friends with this guy named Glenn. And surprisingly even Daryl Dixon. Merle ? Eh we aren't the greatest of friends but he atleast is nice to me. Mom has been acting strange.... especially around Shane. I don't know why. But I do know my feelings for him have grown a lot. Hell I always thought he was cute but then I hit teenage years and that cute feeling turned into a crush and that crush was buried so far deep in my heart that all this time spending together has really resurfaced it. "Hey Harp! Over ere'!" Yelled Daryl. I got up from sitting with Carl helping him do school and walked over. " so Harper would ye want to go huntin' with me?" "Umm is Daryl Dixon asking me ou-" "No! I am not askin ye out! But I can see the annoyance your having with your mother so I thought I can give yer some air." "Oh um yeah I'd have to ask mom and Shane but I'd love to. My moms being a real pain she keeps telling me to stay away from Shane or don't wonder to far away with him, it's quit annoying" "Maybe she found out ye like em'?" "What?!? How did- how did you find out?" "It's obvious I see it every time u look at him, it's all that love stuff" My face turned completely red from embarrassment. "W-well I'll go ask then" I walked over seeing Shane talk to the group, hearing that some of them are going on a run. "Glenn!" I yelled running over to him. "You be safe ok?" I mumbled giving him a big hug. "Hey I always am arent I?" "Yeah" I smiled. I then looked to Merle "Hey don't be stupid and stay safe too alright ?" I said giving him a quick hug. "I will girly" Once the group started to leave I saw my mom with Shane, was she trying to flirt with him? I instantly got jealous. "Hey, Daryl asked if i would like to go hunting with him, can I?" "Absolutely not!" Lori yelled. "Why not?! I'm 18 I'm perfectly capable of doing that!" "No my daughter will not go out with that redneck" "Shane!" I yelled looking at him for help. "Now Lori I don't like the idea of this at all but u can't keep her in the camp for much longer or she's gonna explode." Shane said. I smiled he knows me so well. "Fine." Lori said walking away towards carol and her daughter Sophia. "Hey come here real quick" Shane said pulling me behind a tree. "You stay safe alright? No matter what. Here take my gun." Shane said handing me his pistol. "Shane I already have one." "Yeah but yours is small. Mines bigger with more rounds take it." Shane said shoving it at me. I then decided to try something. It's now or never. I looked up at Shane and slowly started to lean in. Shane then grabbed my waist and pulled me into him as our lips connected. Butterflies erupted in my stomach my heart was beating a million miles an hour as it felt like the whole world stopped before us. Once we pulled away out of breathe, Shane gave me a quick hug whispering. "I've been wanting to do that for a awhile now." As he kisses my forehead. I blushed a bit with a smile, "me too, I've honestly liked you for awhile now, I just always hid it." not giving a chance for Shane to say anything back I took off towards where Daryl said he'd be waiting with a huge smile on my face. Knowing that now Shane knows how I feel about him. The only thing that scares me now is how will my mother take it? Especially after saying stay away from him? All I know is after that kiss there's no staying away from Shane at all.... "Bout time" Daryl grunted as we started walking "Sorry got caught up in stuff." "Yeah kissin' Shane" "You saw?!" I yelled "Shh! Keep ye voice down girl! Scarin' off all the animals. And yeah ye guys weren't exactly hiding." "Shit did my mom see?" "Nah she was busy with other stuff." "Thank god." I let out a sigh of relief knowing my mom didn't see that... but it's only a matter of time till she either finds out and sees us if we ever kiss again... oh gosh what if that was just a one time kiss? I thought to myself, it's Shane for goodness sake did he truly feel the way I feel about him or did he just kiss me back cuz I kissed him first? My heart instantly shattered at the thought of him not wanting me back.. "Hey head out of the clouds I got a deer trail lets start trackin'" "Y-yeah ok sorry" I said following after Daryl.
