When I walk into the office, I notice Dwight, already at his desk, like usual. I have yet to see someone beat him into the office, except that day when Mel and I showed up to decorate for Mr. Brown. I pay him no mind as I slide my bag off my shoulder, setting it under my desk, taking my sports coat off, drape it over the back of my chair, and plop down in the not-so-comfortable rolling seat.

I spin 'round a little so I'm facing the receptionist's desk. Neither Pam nor Melissa are in yet. I'm sure Pam's waiting on Roy, her fiancé, to hurry up so they can come into work together since Roy works downstairs in the warehouse. Mel might be coming in soon, I hope. I know we had a fun night last night, just watching movies and spending time together, even though we're gonna be doing it again tonight, for our weekly Friday night movie and dinner night.

I just know we had a lot of fun. I know I did. Spending time with Mel is something I've come to enjoy since I started working here and we started hanging out. And, I've found myself coming up with more and more reasons to spend time with her. Why? It's plain and simple. I like her. Ok, that's putting it mildly.

If I'm being completely honest, I've found myself falling in love with her, more and more as each day passes. She makes coming into work worth it and makes work a million times better. Over the course of the next half hour, I watch as the rest of my coworkers trickle in and sit at their desks, each going to their own departments and areas.

When Mel comes in and slips off her overcoat, hanging it on the coat rack by the receptionist's desk, I smile and mouth "Good Mornin'." to her. She smiles and waves; I can tell that she's still a little sleepy, and I chuckle to myself as I hold my pen against my bottom lip. She grins a little more and rubs her eyes, getting the sleep outta 'em completely.

When Michael comes in, Pam's already busy making copies. He goes to his office, sets his stuff down, and then comes out to chat with Pam, teasing her at first like he always does, and then asking about any new messages. I make eye contact with Mel and playfully roll my eyes, mocking Michael in a way.

I smile as I watch her try to hide a giggle by pretending to go to the fax machine, even though we both know a fax didn't just come in. Michael finally goes in his office to do what he does. I stay at my desk and take care of some paperwork for a client. After I'm done, I get up and walk over to Pam and Mel.
