Melissa's P.O.V.-6 Months Later:December~
The last six months have been the most eventful six months of my life. Jim and I have been dating for about six months now. We moved in together in July after my lease was up on my house. I was only renting it. It was sad to be moving out but I got to move in with Jim and start our lives together. It's now one week before Christmas, making it our Christmas together as a couple. Still no one knows yet, except for the cameramen. It's been a running gag between us. We drop small hints that we are but no one...not even Dwight has.
Today is the Secret Santa at work so we are trying to hurry and make sure we got our gifts done. He is big on the 'no telling of Secret Santas'. I got Kevin this year. Last year, I got Dwight. I got him this stupid tie, I know he was dying to have. For Kevin, I made sure to get him the $15 footbath thing he's been talking about at lunch. He is always talking about his feet or even his odor at work so I decided to shut him up.
Jim and I decided, even before we pulled names out of the hat, that if we got the others' names we will still get them gifts to put under the tree. I've gotten him quite a few presents so far. I might have gotten him that few iPod that had come out. He's been going to the gym a lot these days and I wanted to get him something so he can listen to his music.
I finish putting his gift in a huge back when Jim walks downstairs with a box that I am guessing is his present. I glance up and smile.
"Mornin'!" I say.
"Morning." He yawns.
He walks over and kisses my cheek before walking to the coffee pot. He grabs the cup that we bought while we were on vacation, the vacation that started it all, and fills it with coffee.
"Are you excited?" I ask, closing the bag.
"I am." He smiles. "I gotta finish up my gift at the office before it starts."
"Are you gonna tell me who you got yet?" I ask, sweetly.
"No, babe." He chuckles. "I'm not telling."
I break out my secret weapon, the puppy dog eyes. He quickly looks away, knowing it would work on him.
"Nope. Not gonna work this time, sweetheart." He smirks, staring at the cabinet.
I playfully pout before he turns to me and pulls me to him by my waist. I smile up at him and he leans down to me. I lean up the extra few inches and press my lips against his own. I can feel him smile against my lips. I wrap my arms around his shoulders loosely. He pulls me a little closer, deepening it. Before it can go any further, he pulls away. I look up at him, confused.
"We have to get to work. I gotta finish this present. You know how Michael is. He'll put Dwight in charge and it will be a train wreck." He says, before kissing my forehead.
I sigh but nod. We quickly get on our heavy jackets and he grabs his keys. I go to grab his box but he quickly grabs it before I can. I look at him confused, raising my eyebrow. He smirks and walks out of the door. I shake my head and giggle. I grab my bag and follow him out of the door. I get in the car and we make small talk on the way. When we finally make it, we walk inside together like usual. A couple people are already here so I walk to the desk and put my bags down.
I take my jacket off and hang it up before sitting down. Pam walks in a few minutes later and does the same thing.
"Hey." she says, tiredly.
I giggle. "Well, good morning, Pamela."
"How are you always so happy?" She smiles, slightly.
"I wake up on the right side of the bed." I say, checking the faxes. "Oh! I got the office's pictures in the mail. If you want to write the addresses to who they're for, I'll stamp our address and put them in the envelope."
