(DAVE) I woke up later that day to something smelling good down stairs and old school music . I got up to take a quick shower before heading down stairs. I walked out the bathroom room from my shower and headed downstairs I heard Tiffany on the phone giggling with someone so I decided to stay around the corner and listen. "Kevin I can't really talk right now , my sons dad is here and we are kinda rekindling our relationship and plus a close close friend of ours just died.." The fuck so I'm just her sons baby father now. "Oh Yeah , the nigga they call Nip I heard about him getting shot ,but that doesn't mean I can't take you out on a date , you know get to know you as friends." He said I just clenched my fucking jaw. "Alright that should be fine I'll text you later." I walked around the corner as soon as she ended the call and cleared my throat.
(TIFFANY) I was downstairs jamming to Aretha and cooking Dave and the kids a quick breakfast. Dave was still up stairs sleeping and DJ and Kari were watching cartoons in the living room. My music stopped which meant someone was either texting me or calling me and it was Kevin FaceTiming me I was skeptical about answering it but I just went ahead.

"Yuuuurrrrrrrrrrr , wassup beautiful what's the business." I slightly smiled. I wrapped up the conversation and the music came back on I heard Dave clear his throat.
"Well Goodmorning sleepy head , did you rest well." He just side eyed me and sat on the counter staring a whole at me. "Okkayyyyyy, you wanna tell me wassup, you wanna talk about it." I said thinking maybe he was just still kinda torn with the whole Nipsey thing which reminds me that I have to go see Layla when we finish eating .
"How you gone fuck me and then be in here chopping it up with some other nigga the fuck I look like to you ." He said under clenched teeth trying not to let the kids hear him. "Wait one second , you was just in fucking love with that bitch Jasmine not even two days ago giving out promise rings and all that , so don't come to me with this bull all because you got some pussy last night Dave , and he's just my friend." I said turning back around to fix the kids plate and his. "Kairi, DJ come eat." They came running to the table I cut up there waffles for them and made sure to put a good amount of syrup. I put Dave's plate in front of him. "Mommy did something bad happen to uncle Nipsey ." DJ said. I sucked my tears in and thought of an easy answer to tell him. But it truly wasn't one Nipsey was gone. "Yeah , you know sometimes God calls us home to visit him and he called Uncle Nipsey, but we're going to have a big party for him." He just shook his head.
