Marian and Jim took me to the main room again, where were the other 'nevercitizens'. It seemed everyone was looking, better, analyzing me.
"Fellows, this, how you must have heard, is Maya."
"Hi Maya, great joke you did when you arrived, you even made Lydia laugh at you." I had to look down to see who was talking to me. It was a little girl, with curled hair and brown eyes. "By the way, I'm Bia."
"Hi Bia. How old are you?"
"You know, it's rude to ask about women's age."
I really thought to make a joke about it doesn't count, because she wasn't a woman, she was a girl, but I changed my mind, didn't wanting to make everybody in this place to hate me.
"Pleasure to meet you Maya, I'm Gray." In contrast with Bia, this man was giant, he had twice my size. He had gray hair (but it didn't seemed to be because of the age, it seemed he had dyed) and his eyes were so dark that they seemed to be black.
"Hi Gray."
"Hey Maya, I'm Georgia. You doesn't seem to be really old, or really young." The girl with brown eyes and a black hair, who was hold in a braid, gave a step back. "Yeah, it seems perfect!"She didn't seem to be much older than I, probably must have the same age as Jim
"Don't even start." warned the ginger.
"Ahhh."
"I'm Lydia." Said the woman with a short black hair and brown eyes.
Okay, this really wasn't what I would expect from a rebellion. This people were... too normal.
"So Jim, why don't you show Maya the room where she will stay?"
"Sure." He grabbed my hand and pushed me in the direction of the corridors again.
I didn't even tried to memorize the way, I already knew it would be impossible.
"What are you thinking about? Don't tell me you trying to remember the number of your lawyer."
"Haha, how funny are you, I can't stop laughing."
"Good to see you enjoy my company. By the way, this is your room." He pointed to a closed.
"It's for me to open?"
"No, it's for John Doe do it. Of course it's for you." This guy really get on my nerves.
I opened the door, revealing a dusty room, that had a stretcher.
"How amazing." I said sarcastically.
"What, you really expected to be something more?"
"Maybe a real bed."
"We can't just go buy these kind of stuff, if you didn't realized yet. Remember, we are hiding from them. Anyway, I'm going back to the living room, feel free to move your bed."
"Wait, how am I suppost to find the way back to there, all by myself."
"I know this corridors can get a little confusing, but literally you just have to turn right."
He walked a few steps into the hall, turned to my direction and pointed with his left hand.
"The living room is right there." He went to my direction again.
Okay, it wasn't really that hard, but he can't blame me, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.
"Don't make any excuses if you just don't want me to leave you alone. If you're scaried, just say it." I can't believe he just insinuated that I was afraid to be alone.
I don't want to be anywhere close to these people, but... maybe I wasn't excited to be unattended. Even if that was the case, I wouldn't make any excuses to be near him.
"Has the cat got your tongue? Or are you just thinking a way to defend yourself?"
"None of your interest."
"Rude. Do you remember I just saved your life, don't you?"
"That's your version of the facts."
"So you still don't believe us. I get you think I'm a kidnapper or something like that, but what about Georgia and Bia, they don't look like they could do any harm."
"Looks can be deceiving."
"Okay, do whatever you want. I know you're gonna believe us, sooner or later."
"We'll see about it."
"Yes, we'll see."
Jim left my room, going in the direction of the main room, or how he called it, living room. I thought in calling him, but I didn't want the ginger to enjoy his win.
I set in my 'bed' and started to wonder about what I have found out so far. Maybe what they told me was true, I can't imagine this people being part of a kidnapping gang, but I couldn't imagine them as a rebellion as well.
Maybe Jim threatened them to behavior nicely to convince me he was the good guy. But why would him try convince me of that, I'm not able to leave anyway.
I think the anwser is in that boy I found early. What has happened to him? Better, what he did for them do that to him? This amount of questions is hurting my head. Maybe if I sleep I'll find out everything was a dream.
I layed down and tried to fall asleep, but it was worthless. What time was it? Maybe it's noonday. Talking about it, I haven't eat anything sice breakfest.
My belly growled at the same time Georgia entered my room.
"Hey, we are having lunch, wanna go?"
"Yeah..."
She led me to what I suposed would be the kitchen, but I wasn't paying attention int the way again.
"So, how many years do you have?"
"I thought it was rude to ask about women's age."
"Ignore Bia, she just don't like to people to say she's young."
"Don't you have all my personal, or something like that."
"The only one who got access to it was Jim, but I don't think it showed your age."
"I'm nineteen."
"He's a little older than you, but I don't think it'll really matter."
"What are you talking about?"
"You and Jim."
"What?! Why?"
"Because you're the only one who is close to his age."
"But what about you, how many years do you have?"
"I'm twenty three, just like him, but this life of dating isn't for me."
"Wait, so he's..." Twenty three minus nineteen. "Five years older."
"Four."
"Why are you even trying to find someone for him?"
"Because this is kind of my hobby, you know, the thing that I do between the trainings" Trainings? "I put couples together."
"Why? Don't you have anything better to do?"
"Because it distract me from thinking about them, what way better to forget about the hate than love." That girl must have hit her head really hard, she is crazy.
"Uhum." Jim was at the door looking at us. "Are you gonna enter or not?"
I didn't realized that during our talk we had stopped in the middle of the corridor.
