Thomas's P.O.V.

About 2 hours after Sarah had left my office I packed up my belongings and exited the building. I needed to clear my head. I exited my office, got into my car, and drove away. I was afraid to tell Lilly what had happened, so I decided I wouldn't tell her. As I was driving my phone rang. It was Mark.
"Did you get those shipments back?" I asked him immediately after picking up.
"Good to see you too," he said grimly. "Yes I did, but that's not why I called. The dinner party is tonight. The one for that charity event," I smiled remembering how I scheduled a dinner party for a charity event I was running. It was for my brother who had kidney cancer and we were raising money to get him healed and research better ways to heal it.
"Thanks for reminding Mark and for getting back those shipments. I'll be there tonight. Bye," I hung up and pulled into my driveway, parking my car. I got out of my car and entered my house. As soon as walked through the door I heard the TV. I strolled over to the living room and smiled when I saw Lilly, curled up in a ball on the couch. Her eyes were glued to the TV as she stared at it intensely. "I see you stuck to your plans," I said leaning on the door frame, tucking my hands in my pockets. Lilly looked over at me.
"You know it!" She said smiling a little too happy. "How was work?" She asked me propping her elbow up.
"Fine. But there is a dinner party tonight. A fundraiser of sorts. It's for my younger brother who has kidney cancer. I need you to come with me," I said scratching the back of my neck. Lilly stood up smiling with sympathy in her eyes, but no pity.
"I'm sorry about your brother. I wish I could say I know what it feels like, but we both know I don't. I'll get ready. How nice is the dinner?" She asked me. I smiled widely at her kindness.
"Very nice. Floor length dress will do it," she gave me a curt nod before making her way to her bedroom. I looked at her retreating form totally in a trance. She was beautiful. No matter if she wore a lot of makeup, and leggings with a long shirt or if she wore a dress. I shook my head and slapped myself. No. I wasn't falling for her. She was just a deal.

Lilly's P.O.V.

I walked into my room and shut the door. I entered my bathroom and grabbed my brush and began to put my up into a formal style. I looked turned my head looking at all of the sides to make sure it looked perfect, then smiled in approval.

I then walked over to my vanity and started doing my makeup. I wasn't totally big on having people did my makeup, because they always made my face seem caked in makeup. After I finished I felt happy with my makeup and went to get my dress.
