I lifted my head from my pillow and saw my phone vibrating, letting me know someone was calling me. I sighed and rubbed my eyes. Slowly I grabbed my phone to look at the ID. It was Ali. I pressed accept.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" Ali screamed excitedly into the phone. Let me tell you, normally I'd be fine, however in the early morning that isn't a good mix.
"Ali please don't scream. I love you and all, but I just woke up." I said into the phone.
"I'm sorry Miss I'm Engaged To Thomas Wilson And Didn't Bother To Tell My Best Friend." Ali sassed.
"Ali you knew I was engaged to Thomas." I responded very confused.
"Yeah, but I didn't know you actually loved each other, so much that you're staying married."
"What?! How did you know?!" I yelled. Her news woke me up good.
"It is all over the magazines. You know I look at them at the hair salon, because I have nothing else to do." She said like nothing mattered.
"Who else knows?" I asked her, fear evident in my voice.
"Nathaniel and I are the only people I know of. I'm not sure if your parents or uncles and aunts know yet. You'll have to talk to them about it. Why though?"
"Are you kidding me?! If my dad sees that, then he'll kill me! He made sure Thomas and I would only be married for a year. You know how protective he is." I told Ali.
"Then why didn't you tell me? I'm your best friend and you know I would support you!" Ali responded. Truth be told we were closer than best friends. Sisters really. I felt bad for not telling her, but in part I was just scared to tell anyone.
"Ali I'm sorry it's just we just made this decision and I really really don't want to deal with any judgment. I'm sorry. It's just been crazy with planning the wedding and figuring out how I'm going to tell my father about it al."
"I guess I get where you're coming from. Look Lilly I have to hang up on you. Deal with Nathaniel being an idiot." I laughed and we said our goodbyes. I smiled and then sat up in the bed. I noticed Thomas had left. Lately Thomas and I have started sleeping in the same bed. I would most either wake up in his arms or he was already gone. Just then Thomas came in holding a tray. On it was two plates of pancakes, two mugs with steaming coffee, and two bowls of fruit. I smiled in disbelief and looked up at him.
"I though you needed a break and I figured you'd be starving. I made everything except for the pancakes. 'Cause I can't cook well." Thomas explained.
"You're amazing. Get over here." I scooted over on the bed allowing him to sit down and place the tray on the bed. I grabbed a fork and dug into the pancakes. I moaned at how good it was and Thomas shifted a little in his spot on the bed. "Are you going to work?" I asked breaking the silence.
"No. I want to spend time with you today. I think my employees will be fine with me being gone. If they can't deal with it, then they're fired." I laughed and shook my head.
"I'm glad you're staying. Speaking of work, do you you have an empty room here. I know I explored pretty much the whole house, but do you have a room you never use?" I asked him hoping the answer was yes.
"I do. Why? What work?" His questions came out quickly.
"Art work. I told you that I love drawing and I just wanted to know if I could use one of the rooms here and turn it in to an art room."
"How could I say no to that? We could start getting stuff after breakfast." I smiled widely and moved to hug him. However Thomas had other plans. He grabbed my waist and pulled me to him, planting his lips on mine. I could taste the coffee he'd been drinking and I'm positive he could taste the pancakes. His lips moved against mine and licked my bottom lip for an entrance. I decided to tease him so I refused. He tried again, but I didn't let up. Thomas growled in frustration and but my lip hard which earned a gasp from me. He slipped his tongue in, taking advantage.
Soon his mouth moved away from mine, but he didn't fully pull away. I was about to ask what was wrong when his lips connected to my neck. He kissed my neck until he started biting it. Suddenly he pulled away. "Now no one will touch you. They'll know that you're mine." He whispered. At first I was confused, but then my eyes widened.
     "You didn't-" I started.
"Yes I did." He cut me off. I bolted off the bed and ran to the bathroom. Just as Thomas had said, there was a hickey on my neck, bright red since it was new. I stormed back to the room and stopped in front of Thomas who was now standing.
"Don't cry my little flower." Thomas said bending down. My eyebrow rose.
     "Little flower?" I asked him.
"Your name. A Lily is a flower. Plus it suits you." He explained, tucking a loose stand of hair behind my ear. "Now don't we have to tell your family about our marriage?" I sucked in a shark breath. Crap.
"You're right. But I think I should do it myself, since my family won't take it well." Thomas sighed a long sigh.
"Fine. But call me if you have any problems. Ok?"
"Ok. Now what am I going to do about your little 'love bite'?"
