Lilly's P.O.V.

I exited the house with Thomas following behind me. Once I had left him to finish getting ready he hasn't said a word, nor has he looked at me. It was strange. One minute we are having a simple close intimate moment, and the next he's acting as if we're strangers. I internally groaned in confusion. I swear Thomas is one of the most confusing people I have ever met.
We walked over to the limo and Thomas opened the door for me and I got in, Thomas following right behind me. I sat down and stared out the window trying to figure out what the hell happened to Thomas. He was hiding something from me and I wanted to know what it was.
The limo started moving and I looked out the window and at the trees we passed. Other cars zoomed past us as we moved at a slower pace. I leaned against the window and sighed. Things before Thomas were so much less confusing. I wasn't trying to figure out a man and I was living my life as simple as my life could be. Drawing during the day, and going to formal dinner parties at night, and working with my dad in between. It was easy. Now everything changed.
Thomas hit me, we shared a moment, and now he was ignoring me. Could my life become any more complicated?! Life was hard enough, but Thomas's mood swings made it worse. He could be sweet and pulling me close, but then he was cold and pushing me away.
The limo came to a stop and Thomas and I got out. I looked at the mansion in front of us. Beautiful and formal. Full of lies inside waiting to be believed. That was my world. Lies. I sighed and held Thomas's hand for the illusion we were making, and walked inside.
"Don't be nervous. All you need to do is find something you like and bid on it. Bid as much as you can until you get it. It'll help." He said smiling at me. I smiled back, but it was strained.
"I don't want you going bankrupt." I said teasingly.
"It's fine. Just find at least one thing." He responded. I nodded and made my way to the bidding tables. I looked around for awhile, but I didn't see anything in particular that I liked. I looked around for a few more minutes before my eyes caught a beautiful necklace. I picked it up gently and looked at it. It was perfect. I checked the first bidding price and my eyes widened. 20,000 thousand dollars!
The Necklace:

I set the necklace down and walked away

I set the necklace down and walked away. No way was I bidding on that! It was way to expensive. Plus if other people wanted it the price would go way higher. I walked over to Thomas and saw him putting a bid on a painting. I rested my head on his shoulder and he glanced at me.
"Hello sweetheart." He greeted smiling.
"Sweetheart?" I asked him, raising my eyebrows. He blushed and turned away.
"It sounded like a cute nickname."
"My dad called my mom that when they were younger. He still does actually."
"He has good taste then. Have you seen anything you like yet?" I bit on my lip. I couldn't tell him about that necklace.
"No, not really. Nothing really is catching my eye." I lied. I didn't want to lie, but I couldn't buy that necklace. It was too expensive. Even if he was a multi billionaire.
"Oh really?" He asked. There was something in his voice the suggested I was lying. I shook the feeling off and nodded. "Well I suggest you find something. I'll be right back. I saw a.. um.... watch that looked promising." I back off as he walked away swiftly. What was that man up to?

Thomas's P.O.V.

I knew Lilly was lying when she said she hadn't seen anything she wanted. In truth I had been watching her as she walked around. Not like a stalker. I just couldn't get her off my mind. Anyway I saw her stop to look at a necklace. She picked it up and looked at it. I could tell she wanted it, but upon seeing the price she put it down and came to me.
I wasn't really getting a watch, though I did see some. I wanted to get Lilly that necklace. I walked over to it and placed a bid on it of 50,000 dollars. The started price was 20,000, but I assumed no one would go above my bid. I knew Lilly would get mad I payed so much for just one thing to give her, but all the money would go to my brother and solving cures for his cancer.
Soon enough all the items had been bid on and now it was time to hear the winners. I made my way over to Lilly and sat beside her at our seat. After the winners were told, dancing and eating would start. I looked at her and smiled and she smiled back. I looked closely at her and saw sadness in her eyes. Why would she be sad, I don't know. But I wanted to figure it out.
"First item up for auction is the painting Moonlight, created by Scott Varing! And that goes to Thomas Wilson!" The announced called out. People clapped and Lilly looked at me smiling teasingly. "He won this at the price of 30,000 dollars!" Lilly's eyes widened a little, but not a lot. Crap. Hopefully she's not too upset over the necklace. More people got called and finally the necklace came. "And the winner for the final item in Thomas Wilson paying 50,000 dollars!"
Lilly's head snapped to me, eyes wide. I smiled sheepishly and she glared. I shrugged my shoulders and turned facing another way, but I felt her glare. I sighed and turned back to face her.
"Why would you pay that much?!" She hissed.
"You wanted it. I wanted to get it for you. I went above the price so no one would go over it."
"How did you know I wanted it?" She asked me.
"I saw you looking at it before you walked over to me. I'm telling you, don't worry about money. I have enough for god's sake!" I told her. She sighed and looked up.
"I guess you're right." She admitted. Lilly looked down at the table shyly.
"Well, now that we have that is out of the way, want to dance?" I asked. One song was finishing up and a new song would be coming. I held my hand out to her standing up. Lilly took it smiling and we walked onto the dance floor. A song just ended and the song Sad Song came on. I placed my hands on her waist as she strung her arms around my neck. We danced slowly and I twirled her around and kept her in my arms and lifted around in the air.
"Thank you." Lilly breathed out of nowhere once I put her back on the ground. I looked at her confusion clouding my vision.
"For what?" I asked.
"For everything. The necklace, making this marriage easy for me to handle, and just the kindness you've shown me. I thought I'd be marrying a dick head. But turns out I'm marrying a sweet, caring man." She said smiling. I looked at her. She was beautiful. Last the dress, makeup, and hair, she was a work of art. I wanted to kiss her again. Badly too.
"I hit you though." Was all I could say.
"But then you fought to get me back." I brought my face closer.
"I guess your right." I told her teasingly. Lilly blushed. I turned serious. "My girlfriend came over to my office today. She started kissing me and for a moment I kissed back. But then you entered my mind. I felt as though I was betraying you. So I pushed her away. I told her I never wanted to see her again. But then, when I came home and you were helping me, all I wanted was to keep you close. To hold you in my arms. To kiss you." I stared into Lily's eyes deeply as I told her what had happened today. She was shocked.
"Thomas I-" she started, but then cut her off and I placed a finger on her lips.
"Lilly can I kiss you?"
