(Vivian)
"Hey fatass! Get your lazy ass up or you'll be late!" Nikolaus yelled through the door.
I sighed softly and rolled out of bed, wincing as I hit my hip on the bed post. I grabbed my clothes and pulled them on.
I grabbed my suitcase, my art bag, and Charlie's cage and lugged them all downstairs.
"Took you long enough." Nikolaus scoffed.
I rolled my eyes and made sure my wallet was in my art bag before walking out of the house and down the street.
I kept walking until I got to the train station. I got onto the platform and quickly boarded the train.
I wandered towards the back of the train, searching for an empty compartment.
"Opal! Vivian Opal!" I heard a deep voice call put behind me.
I turned around to see Draco waving at me and smiling. I forced a small smile and walked over to him.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see him and the rest of my small friend group, but it's just hard to smile lately.
Draco walked me into the compartment and was instantly bombarded with the voices of my friends.
"Vivi, you didn't answer any of my letters." Blake.
"Viv, what happened, no body heard from you all summer." Xena.
"You disappeared at the end of last year, Opal, what happened?" Blaise.
Thankfully Draco came to my rescue. "Guys, give her a chance to sit down and relax."
I sat next to the window and Draco sat next to me once he finished putting my suitcase in the overhead compartment.
I looked at Xena, signalling her to ask her question.
"What happened to you, no one heard from you all summer. We only knew you were alive because Malfoy's parents were talking with Snape and he heard Snape say you've been busy." Xena stated.
I sighed softly. "As Se- Snape said, I've been busy. My aunt and uncle have been keeping me... Busy, around the house." I said looking down at my lap.
Blaise went next. "Well, why did you disappear at the end of last year? You weren't even on the train home."
I bit my lip. "An emergency came up and Snape had to bring me somewhere to take care of it."
"Why didn't you answer any letters over the summer?" Blake rushed out.
I lifted my head and raised an eyebrow. "You guys sent letters?"
All four of them nodded. I looked back down at my lap.
"I-I didn't get any letters... I checked every day... Nothing... Nothing at all." I mumbled.
