Steph and Cole make their way downstairs together and head outside to cool down a bit.

"So who's the blonde girl you've been hanging out with?" she asks.

"Oh, she's a old friend from back home. Her name's Abril," he explains.

"Oh cool. I figured she was a friend or something," she replies, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.

"What, are you jealous?" he teases.

"Yeah, I'm so jealous," she deadpans, even though deep down she kind of is.

"She's a cool girl, but I'm not into her like that," he admits, causing her to lift her eyebrows in surprise.

"She's not your type?" she asks.

"It's not that she's not my type. I just don't see her as anything more than a friend," he admits.

"Oh I see," she replies, trying not to smile.

"Alright, it's getting cold and you're in that tiny outfit, so let's go back inside," he suggests.

They walk back inside and some of the guys give them weird looks but don't say anything. Some of the guys are a lil lit tho so their designated drivers take them away to their dorms. At 11:30 pm, Brock comes up to her.

"Do you want to head out in an hour or so? It's getting kind of late and everyone's getting trashed," Brock suggests.

"Sure, if everyone's ready to go," she replies, not really caring if she leaves or not.

The plan of leaving turns to shit when Owen gets challenged into a match of Beer Pong against a freshman from the football team. Alex and Cole decide to help him out, while a couple of the football players help the challenger. Owen, Alex, and Cole end up losing and end up drinking all the beers. The beers seem to take their toll on Owen as he ends up getting into a dance battle with some guys from Theta Chi.

Steph laughs her head off as she watches Owen dance terribly with the Theta Chi guys. After the dance off the Theta Chi guys announce there's gonna be body shots and some of the girls volunteer to have the Theta Chi guys take body shots off them. After a few girls go, one of the guys turn to her.

"What about you? You wanna join in on the fun?" he asks Steph.

She looks around not knowing if it'll be a good idea to let a random guy take a body shot off her.

"Sure," she shrugs, not caring about what the possible consequences will be.

The crowd wolf whistles as she makes her way to the table. She takes her tank top off, leaving her with only a strapless bra. They lead her to the table and set her up, putting the alcohol and salt all over her torso and chest and put the lime wedge in her mouth. The guy make his way over to her and starts taking the shot. He makes his way up her body before taking the lime wedge from between her teeth. The crowd wolf whistles and he winks at her. She giggles before he helps her up. She sees that Cole left the crowd and that disappoints her a little. She makes her way upstairs to go to the bathroom and wipe her chest down. As she walks out of the bathroom, she bumps into Cole.

"Oh sorry," she says.

"Nah, it's cool. Had fun having that shot taken off you?" he asks, trying to sound nonchalant and not jealous.

"It was alright. Why, are you jealous?" she teases, getting back at him for his earlier jealousy comment.

"No, I just don't want a situation to go down with you. You know how frat guys can be," he assures her.

"Thank you, my knight in shining armor, but I think I'll be fine against those guys. I'm a tough bitch to bring down," she assures him.

"You know I care about you, right, and it's not because we have this thing going on. Like I genuinely care about you," he confesses, squeezing her hand.

"I know. I care about you too," she smiles.

"We should probably head back down. My brother's dying to get us all home 'cause it's getting late," he suggests.

"Alright," she nods.

They walk downstairs together and finally locate Brock in the kitchen.

"Ready to go? Alex finally got Owen under control and he's really trashed," Brock explains.

"Yeah, sure," she nods.

She sees the time and sees it's 1:41 am and that a lot of the people in the party have left already. The whole group of Brock, Cole, Alex, and Owen make their way to Brock's car. They get in and the song Did It Again by Lil Tecca comes on. The entire car ride is spent with Owen groaning about how he feels sick. Brock drops Steph off and she goes straight to her room.

She sees her roommate is dead asleep and quietly changes into her pajamas and brushes her teeth before getting into bed. Just as she's about to fall asleep, she gets a text.

She falls asleep with a smile on her face, knowing that she'll get to spend more time with the guy she's falling for more and more each day
