Steph wakes up to her alarm waking her up at 10:30 am. She sits up and sees her roommate, Alessandra, about to head out.

"What time did you get back last night?" she asks, her accent much thicker in the morning

"Like at 2. I was at Theta Chi's party with the boys from the hockey team," Steph informs her.

"You've become really good friends with them, huh?" she comments.

"Yeah. They're good guys," Steph replies.

"I bet they are. I'm grabbing breakfast with the girls on the team. You wanna join?" she asks.

"No, thank you love. I'm already meeting up with one of the boys for breakfast," Steph informs her.

"So a breakfast date?" she teases.

"Shut up, it's not a date!" Steph giggles.

"I'll see you later, love," she giggles, leaving the dorm room.

Steph goes to the bathroom and brushes her teeth before changing into a Guerrero Jr. Toronto Blue Jays shirt, Maple Leafs jacket, jeans, and white Nike Air Maxes. She fills in her brows and moisturizes her face before grabbing her things, and leaving the dorm room. She walks over to Hope Dining Center and arrives there at 10:57 and sees Cole waiting outside the entrance of the dining hall.

"Hey, Cole," she smiles, walking up to him.

"Hey, Steph," he smiles, looking up from his phone.

He hugs her and they enter the dining hall together. They grab a table for two near the far windows in the back and head to the omelette station. They order their omelettes and while they wait, they get their drinks and other food. They grab their omelettes once they're ready and head back to the table.

"Sick party last night, eh?" she comments.

"Yeah, I'm told Theta Chi parties are always a good time," he replies, taking a sip of orange juice.

"Did you really mean what you said last night? About you caring about me?" she asks seriously, taking a sip of her strawberry kiwi juice.

"Yes, I care about you, Steph! You're an amazing person and I'm so glad we're friends," he smiles.

Hearing Cole refer to them as being friends causes an ache to start in her heart but she masks her pain with a smile.

"Okay good," she nods, wishing they could be more than friends.

"So what was that thing last night with you and Turcs?" he asks, trying to keep his voice calm.

"Alex and I were just talking when you found us upstairs. We were in a tickle fight because I chirped him. The dancing was just me dancing on a guy friend. I do it all the time back home," she explains nonchalantly, while taking bites from her omelette.

"I was just curious. Didn't know if you had a thing for him or something," he replies.

"Nah, Alex is cool but he ain't my type. You know I only got eyes for you, bb," she teases, blowing him a kiss.

They break out into laughter and the awkwardness of the conversation goes away.

"You know, I'm glad you decided to come here," he admits.

"Of course you are! You realized that Canadians are the life of the party and that you can't live without me! I tend to have that effect on people," she teases.

"Shut up!" he chuckles, kicking her lightly.

"But in all seriousness, I'm glad I came here too! I needed a break from Montreal," she explains, not mentioning how much meeting him has affected her.
