Feeling the sunshine on his face, Atrox decided to finally get up from his cat nap and began thinking on what creature he should hunt before leaving the Pride Lands.

Hey, Zira get up!

Mmm, just five more minutes.

Come on, seriously? We've already slept pass an hour.

Zzzzz.

Fine, whatever.

Dusting off his handmade baggy cargo shorts and tightening his pouch around his waist, he huffed at Zira sleeping as he thought about an idea to get back at his companion.

That was before he noticed in the distance 12 hyena's chasing a giraffe on two limbs. Wait a sec, 2 limbs!?

Without a second thought, Atrox rushed out to the scene while leaving a sleeping Zira.

Running as fast as her heels can take her. The female giraffe looked back and noticed the hyena's closing in fast.

One minute she was living a normal life while preparing to be mated. But then her bones popped and with her structure changed, she was rejected by her kind and put in exile. After starving for three days, she tried to find something to eat, but instead she encountered the hungry hyena's.

She kept on trying to outrun them, but no matter how many times she cut a corner, a hyena would appear. Just as she was about hop over the hunter. One of hyena's nicked her ankle.

The giraffe found herself cornered against a tree with an injured ankle.

The hyena's grin viciously while drooling at the mouth.

That was before blood gushed everywhere, followed by Atrox landing in front of her with his claws drenched in blood.

The hyena's were at first confused and horrified the most before noticing Atrox presence. Seeing three of their comrades in a pool of blood without their heads. The shock quickly worn out as they became feral enraged.

Sensing the increasing hostility, Atrox claws glow yellow as the hyena's charged him in blind rage.

With special precision, he sliced off all the remaining hyena's heads.

The giraffe backed away in fear while thinking she was going to become food but instead froze when the unknown male turned around to stare her in the face.

She closed her eyes thinking she was done for until she felt herself being held in bridal style.

W-wha?

"It's alright. It's not like I'll eat you or anything. I've far grown past that phase.

I'm just going to take you to my mate so she can treat your wounds.

Oh, and she's a zebra" he finished at which the female froze in surprise.

With Zira...

"That brat owe me" she thought while heading back to Rafiki's tree with a big sack of fruit's.

Trailing behind her is a male lion around the same age as Atrox. He looks a lot like Atrox except for the fact his mane is a little more full with his eyes being purple.

Besides him is a female zebra who is the same age as Zecora.

How she met them?

While looking for her king, she came across the two going at it like rabbits.

Due to being caught in the act. It was than discovered that both migrated away from their families due to their evolution.

Hearing this, Zira decided to take them in to Rafiki's tree but not before threatening the new male about Atrox safety.

After making it to Rafiki's tree, the two newcomer's were introduced, Zecora had them to clean themselves in the bath while gathering materials to make suitable clothes for the two.

30 minutes later, Atrox arrived while carrying the giraffe, who he learned her name is Chala. On his back is a large basket almost filled with fish for days.

After explaining to the females what happened or in Zira case. Atrox went met the two newcomer's, who he learned is Alex the lion and kae, his mate.

After chatting with them, he along with some of his harem relaxed for the rest of the day.
