The Kizumi clan has a unique kekkei genkai that make them unlike any other ninja. They can't do ninjutsu's like most shinobi, which is why they never attended the academy. What they could do is infuse the world around them with their chakra and manipulate (bend) the elements. Water, earth, fire, air. Instead, Shota studied with a private tutor, who may not understand it, but could try to help, and most importantly monitor his improvement and skills for academic purposes. Hani was in a much better position where she could learn from her older brother, Shota. The tutor had less of a purpose but would constantly check up on them for once again academic purposes, and observe whenever Shouta was busy with his team.
