The Bending Ninja

(Feel free to imagine the characters as you want but I imagine Hani as someone with long dark brown hair, black pants that don't reach her ankles, and double layered black and earthy green top.
Shota, the brother, with light brown, short-long hair.
Yuki with dark hair, similar length as Shota.
Missy with long black and curly hair and a somewhat gothic style, even though it doesn't match with the cover picture, but like I said, feel free to imagine them how you want!
And Hakota wears the typical leaf ninja outfit like Kakashi and Asuma do.)

(switches to Hani's POV later)

STORY STARTS

Hani gets back up after being swept off her feet as she breaths heavily with dirt covering her. She hops forward and moves her arms up and forward, causing the earth to shoot up from the ground towards her attacker. The man jumps back several times before doing hand signals and shooting tar from his mouth. Hani bends a wall of earth in front of her to protect her. Once it stops, she bends the water from the small pond and comes out from behind the wall to attack the man with the rather big stream of water. He manages to withstand the force and stay upright somehow. Was it a jutsu? Sometimes it's tough to tell what exactly is going on during a battle. She followed with a powerful punch that brought fire shooting at his direction. He dodged it and threw several kunai at her that she deflected with a shot of air from her hand. She then threw some of hers at the man who dodged them. Hani was about to bend more water when suddenly,

"STOP!" The fight immediately halted. The tutor and a few other officials from the academy along with her brother were standing watching the fight.

Her opponent was an instructor at the academy (not Iruka). They gave each other a look and one of the officials stepped forward.

"Congratulations! You pass!"
 
"I passed!? I passed!" Hani ran to take her headband and then hugged her brother who spun her around and cheered. "You made it! You passed!"

(Hani's POV)

After the last test for me to become a genin, Shota and I went to celebrate by eating kbbq and then walked home. We live in a small house a bit away from the center of the village and the public training grounds. It gave us some space to train without going far from home too. Basically our backyard. I saw a figure sitting on our porch and looked closer. He looked up seeing us. He got up and jogged up to us and hugged me.

"Hani! You're a ninja now!" "Yuki! What are you doing here?" "I heard you had your test today. Of course, I would come to congratulate you! By the way, I got you a little something as a congratulations present." He took a small box out from his pouch.

"That is so nice of you! You didn't have to." I accepted the present. Shots was guiding me to the front door as I looked at the box. "Let's go inside, I got you something too." "You did?!?"

"Of course, I did," Shota laughed as he opened the door and waked inside as Yuki and I followed.

I sat down on the couch in the living room followed by Yuki as Shota pulled out his present from under the couch. I opened Yuki's first. It was black Konoha/leaf village fingerless gloves. "Thank you! I've been wanting these gloves for years!" Yuki smiled at my reaction as he said, "I know, and now you'll need them."

I put them on as someone came in through the door. "Hey." It was Missy, Shota's and Yuki's other member. "Heard you had your exam today, and I see you passed. Congratulations. Here you go." She held out a long thin box. "Thank you."

I opened it to see a sword. Missy loves katanas and even collects them. She is very picky and specific with swords and wouldn't bother looking at poor quality swords, so I know it's a great sword. "Wow."

"Now you have a sword, so you can practice." "Thank you, Missy," I smiled. "No prob. Every girl should master a weapon, and swords are the best. Anyways that's all I came her for, I'm off to the library. See ya."

We all waved and said goodbye. Yuki spoke up, "you know, 2 years and I don't think I'm used to her yet." "I don't think I am either," replied Shota. "She is unique but still nice and considerate." I admire the sword, smiling, as I half take it out of it's sheath. I'll have to properly learn how to wield it.

"My turn!" Shota handed me the final gift. I opened the box. It was a kunai, with special engravings. 'Shinobi Heart' was engraved along one edge of the blade. The handle was red with gold pattern engravings that followed into the base of the blade.

"This kunai looks so nice! Where did you get this!?!"

"I got it a while back when I came across it on one of our missions." My brother responded.

"That weapons shop was so nice and unique. I've never seen such weapons." Yuki commented.

"Thank you so much!" I hugged Shota and then Yuki. I put the sword and kunai to the side, and I kept the gloves on. "So, Hani, how do you feel about being a ninja?" Yuki asked. "I'm really excited!" "That's good, want to go train on feel the vibrations in the ground? You're getting better at it." "Sure!"

The three of us went outside and they helped me train to be able to feel the vibrations in the earth and visualize what's happening around me. I used my headband as a blindfold as they moved around, asked question, and occasionally attacked me, just light attacks thankfully.

This chapter is just to get things started. I have about 12 chapters ready to post but idk how often I will update but I'll probably update more as (hopefully) more people enjoy this story.  Please react and comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts throughout the chapters.

Lol so this WAS originally posted but I rarely wrote so I took it down. Now I'm writing (wrote) multiple chapters first before I try again. But the more people enjoy it the more I'll write and post.
