Chapter 12

Today is Thursday, so that means I have another concert...except Will can't come today. Which is sad, but I understand since he came to the one last night. We also have marching band practice today, which isn't very fun. At least I get to see Will for two and a half more hours.

The school day went by rather quickly, and marching band practice came. The only good thing that happened at band was on one break it was just Will, Cinthya, Zach, and me inside the band room and of course they left Will and me all alone. At first it was kinda awkward, we just stood there and stared at each other. Once we established they weren't coming back, he pulled me in for a hug. Okay, a hug is simple, sweet, comforting....and long. The hug was very lengthy, but right when he pulled away I wanted it to be longer. "We should probably go see if they are starting up again," he says as he opens the door. "Yeah I suppose your right," I really didn't want to leave that room, with him, alone.

I'm pretty sure telepathy is a real thing, because as soon as I thought that he shuts the door, softly touches his hand to my chin, and moves my face right into his. Our usual kisses, if I can even call them that, were just pecks. This time, however, I wouldn't call it making out, but we "intensely kissed" for a while before we decided that we seriously should go back outside. We made it just in time, the break had just ended.

I knew that Will couldn't come to my concert, but it was still kinda disappointing not seeing him in the audience. As soon as I got on stage that feeling of disappointment went away and stage fright hit. Why am I nervous? I never get nervous, something is wrong with me. I wasn't even nervous yesterday when Will, his dad, and my MOM were there. "Just sing," I tell myself, and so I do. The concert finally ended and I got to go home to my warm bed and sleep. But not before thanking God for today, for my family, and for Will.
