Adam laid in bed. His cheeks were stained with salty tears and his eyes were dry. He hummed the tune to "the night we met", remembering that night so long ago. Almost 2 months. It didn't feel real, if felt like he was living a dream every time he was with James. He was to good to be true for him. It was stupid of him to kiss that guy in the bar.
"Want something to drink?" The guy said. Adam shook his head.
"I'm good, I already have one. I was just waiting for my boyfriend to get home and decided to come have a few drinks." Adam turned around, now facing the man. He grazed his hand on the red counter and took a seat in the familiar black and silver stools. The same stool that James sat on the first time they met. The guy was rather attractive. Dusty light brown hair that swooped over his forehead and left eye in curls. His button up shirt had three buttons undone, showing his only slightly hairy chest. His shirt was accompanied by a Hawaii styled cardigan. His smile shinned more with the angle of the light when he sat down.
"A boyfriend hey? I bet I could treat you better." Adam tried shooting him down by placing his hand out and slightly turning.
"No, he's to perfect to replace." Adam smiles at the thought of his marvellous boyfriend.
"Well I could give you a little extra then maybe?" The guy winked. Adam just smiled and shook his head. The guy was growing impatient with all the flirting.
"If your boyfriend is so perfect.. then why does this..." The man grabbed Adams chin and kissed him. Adam melted into the kiss, the guy was definitely a great kisser, but Adam couldn't. He wouldn't. After they were kissing for about a minute Adam pulled back and wiped his lips.
"...Feel so nice." The man continued. It did feel nice, but James was better. Adam couldn't.
"No, just no." Adam buried his face in his hands.
"If you two ever.. separate then here's my number." The guy winked and dropped a piece of paper on the table. Adam felt tears rear his eyes. He got up and practically ran out the door and into the taxi heading home. He ran into the apartment and cried into and beat a pillow. He heard the door open. Most of the rest was a blur but he remembered James tracing circles on his back, and him moving backwards when Adam told him. Adam running after him, the door slamming in his face. He kicked the door as hard as he could and hurt his foot in the works. And now your all caught up. Adam laying down and gazing into the calming bumps of the white roof. He had to eat something. Adam stared at the stove and decided to eat out. Half an hour later he found himself in the mall and eating a sub from subway. He thought of James. James worked at subway once. Adam felt another tear fall down his cheek and onto the table. He pulled at his already very messy hair and wiped his red tear stained cheeks. That when he seen him. Adam looked up at the beautiful man. His arm was being pulled by a short Asian girl with long brown hair. He was laughing and smiling. He looked so.. enlightened. Adam groaned. He kept watching the boy. The girl he was with was ordering their food as he stood in the middle of the food court waiting for her. James turned, making direct contact with Adam. Adam started to cry. So did James. That's when brown haired girl grabbed his arm and dragged him to a table. James wiped his face. And talked to the girl. She glanced at Adam before setting his food in front of him and putting the tray on top of a trash can and walking out of the mall. James took one last look at Adam. Adam looked at himself up and down. He knew why he left and kept looking at him. Adam looked terrible. He wrapped up the second half of his sub and walked out fo the mall, he knew how to get James back.

James couldn't fully smile anymore, he missed Adam. He wanted to go and just kiss him and cry in his arms. He couldn't though, cause the reason why he is crying is because of him. He heard a satisfying ding from his phone.
*1 new message*
James looked at his phone. A text from an anonymous number. He glanced at the text and then put the phone away.
"Message loud and clear." He mumbled.
"Huh?" Jaiden asked.
"Oh nothing!" James fake smiled.
————————-*time skip*——————————
James stepped up a few steps to a gizebo on top of a hill with a lovely view of the city. He took out his phone after seeing the handsome man in a white tuxedo. James couldn't help but smile.
"Anonymous number? Really?" Adam smiled.
"Well if I didn't make it anonymous then you wouldn't have came." James smiled even wider."But that's not why your here." James listened as music slowly faded into the scenery filled with reds and whites.
"Yeah you could be the greatest, you could be the best. You could be the King Kong banging on his chest." James noticed what was happening.
"You could beat the world, you could beat the war. You could talk to god go banging on his door. You could throw your hands up, you could beat the clock, you could move a mountain, you could break rocks." James smiled thinking of the night where Adam dragged him onto stage and made him sing. Adam wanted for James to break through his seal and sing with him.
"You could be a master, don't wait for luck. Dedicate yourself and you'll find yourself.." Adam smiled as he witnessed James open his mouth for a deep breath, preparing to sing loudly.
"Standing in the hall of fame! And the worlds gonna know your name!" Adam smiled moving closer to James.
"Cause you burn with the brightest flame!" Adam sang.
"And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame." They sang together. Adam opened his arms and James jumped into them and kissed Adam more passionately then ever before. It had only been a day without Adam, and pretending to hate him and he couldn't do it. But this didn't feel right, James reminded himself of Adam kissing the guy. Was he getting bored of James? James couldn't help this. The music faded and James and Adam parted for air. James stepped back. Adams uncontrollable smile started shifting.
"What's wrong?" Adam asked.
"Adam, I'm- I'm sorry. But you can't just expect a song to get us back together, at least not like this. I'm sorry but.. I can't." James ran down the mountain, clearly crying. Adam felt tears fall down his cheeks. He couldn't either. He knew James well enough to know it would take more then this to get him back, but he was just so desperate. Adam sat on one of the chairs in the well-lit gazebo. He began crying into his sleeves.
"Play that song." Adam whispered. His voice was shaky from tears and his features were pale and red from his recent crying. "The one that makes me go on and on." Adam just wanted to sing right now, mostly sing to James, and kiss him, and cuddle him, but singing was the only achievable thing right now. "The one that makes me think of you." Adam looked down the staired mountain to a dark figure crying outside his car. Adam slowly began stepping down. The mountain to James, slowly singing as he made his way down. He stopped and switched to another song a few steps down.
"When we know something is true, beyond question or doubt. There's no particular point in pointing it out. Blue is the color of sky. James looked up at Adam, still near the top of the mountain but moving down slowly. James got up and slowly started walking up the mountain too.
"The phone rings, the bee stings." He sang. "It's something you don't need to hear, it's just clear."
Adam moves closer, James face finally clear in the dim light.
"Why go staying the obvious? It's so painfully obvious." They moved near each other as they sang. Now only 15 steps apart.
"How could you miss, something that's clear to see?" Adam sang.
"When it's staring and glaring right at you." James sang.
"So obviously?" They sang. They ran to each other and hugged.
"I'm sorry." Adam whispered into James' ear.
"I know." James whispered back.
"I understand if you need some time apart from me. I was stupid. I was-"
"An idiot?" James asked.
"Yeah." Adam laughed. James giggled. He kissed Adam one last time, knowing it meant goodbye. James stepped down the stairs, to his car. He blew one last kiss before getting into the car and driving away. Adam sat on the step. His small frown shifted to a smile as he hit realization.
He was going to get James again. No matter what, he's going to fight for him.
