One hour after breakfast time, Shie Hassakai base, Morning....
Third Person's POV
"Take care of Izuku for me again, Hari, Kai." Pops said, eyes looking softly into the small girl's ones. He crouched down to her level and patted her fluffy head. "I will see you later, Izuku. Behave and don't trouble everyone, okay?" He smiled kindly at her. She just remained silent, tiny hands reaching out to his top.
Izuku's green eyes grew wide, suddenly clutching on Pops' clothes. "Granpa....don't go...." She sobbed, tears threatened to spill. The middle-aged man tilted his head in slight confusion. "I will be away for a few hours only, dear." He reminded, stroking her head gently. "No, don't go! Don't go! Don't go!" Izuku chanted desperately, crystal liquid escaping her eyes.
Kai sighed in distaste before gripping her small shoulders and forcefully yanked her away from Pops. "Don't be a baby and trouble Pops, Izuku." He snarled in quite angry tone, not tolerating rude behavior toward the old Shie Hassakai leader. Izuku agressively shook her head, crying hysterically.
"A bad man wanna hurt Grandpa!" The female child blurted out a proper full sentence, cries and tears filled the tense atmosphere. Hari took the opportunity to pull Izuku from Kai roughly yet gently. He embraced her body and rubbed circles on her back in attempt to calm her down.
Pops glanced over to his assistant and then shifted his gaze back to the crying little one. Mystery. Why did she say such weird thing?
Izuku's fat tears soaked Hari's attire but he didn't mind it. All he wanted now was to comfort her.
"Shall we cancel the meeting, Boss?" The assistant asked for confirmation but Pops shook his head. "No, we shall not. But we will take extra pre-caution." He commanded, earning understanding nod from the loyal man.
"G-granpa...." Izuku sobbed, calling for her foster grandfather. Pops just gave her a small smile, patting her head again. "I will be fine, sweetheart. The bad man won't hurt me." He assured sincerely to ease her worry. Izuku was still sniffling, slowly breaking apart from Hari.
"B-but..."
"Shh, just be a good girl and wait for me to come back." Pops ruffled her hair and stood up on his two feet.
"See you later again, Izuku." With that, Pops left the base with another few assistants and bodyguards for the important meeting he was going to attend, leaving some yakuzas to guard the hideout and protect their young master and mistress.
Hari stared at Izuku sadly, knowing well how she felt. Deciding to cheer the girl up, he picked the girl up by her armpits, startling her. "Hey, Izu. Why don't we play some fun games?" He suggested, grinning from ear-to-ear at her. Izuku's eyes lit up with excitement at the mention of 'game'.
