Its the American Revolutionary War... But not as you know it. The British commander, Charles Cornwallis and a few others, led a successful campaign in Virginia, causing 50,000 deaths. The French and the americans had made a army, known as "La nouvelle armée française d'Amérique", which roughly translates to The New French Army of America. This was a army of 45,000 Americans, 54,000 French Infantry, 34,000 Native Americans, 1,000 Spanish soldiers, and over 100,000 French, American, and Spanish militia. This force met at Boston, where they battled a army of 30,000 British Infantry, 20,000 Loyalists, 30,000 Canadian Reinforcements, and 100,000 Militia from all of Britain and its colonies.
