A/N: This is three days later when Mischa runs out of Brendon's meals. Brendon doesn't understand how much that meant to Mischa. That and Mischa loves Brendon's cooking. But Mischa has to go to work and then there's some trouble.

Mischa's POV

I woke up on Sunday morning and got up with a groan. I hate working on Sunday mornings. It's three o'clock in the morning and here I am, getting ready to go to work. Joy. I had a nice hot shower, dried off, got dressed, and dried my hair. This morning, I didn't have to get up at one because a co-worker is coming to pick me up. She texted me and I read the message before going downstairs to get my coat, scarf, hat and boots on. I pocketed my phone and went to the fridge. There was no food in there, like usual. I closed the fridge and went to wait for Cassidy. I played on my phone until she pulled into the driveway. I grabbed my keys, went out and locked the door and went to her car. I got in the front seat and shut the door. Her car was nice and warm.

"Good morning! I kinda figured that you didn't eat anything so I got you some breakfast." She said happily and pulling a container from the backseat. She placed in my lap and handed me a fork.
"Thank you Cass. You're amazing." I said and opened the container. She started to drive and in the early morning darkness and light from the street lights, I figured out that there were home fries and bacon chunks in the container.
"There's also hollandaise sauce because it's amazing." She said and I took a bite.
"Holy shit Cass, this is delicious!" I exclaimed and continued to eat it.
"I'm glad that you like it." She said and flipped on the radio.

We pulled into the police department's parking lot ten minutes later and we got out. She and I went inside to start our day. The Strategic Response Unit's alpha team was inside and greeted us. I sat down at my usual desk and logged into the computer. I sent messages to the fire department to check in on how things are going at the firehouse, I sent a message to the paramedics to check in on them and I sent a message to the officers upstairs.

"Morning kid. How are you doing?" Parker, from the SRU, asked.
"I'm doing great. And you?" I asked.
"Waiting for my shift to end." He said leaning on my desk.
"How's your team?" I asked.
"Playing cards. Want to be dealt in?" He asked.
"I can't. Just in case someone calls." I said and turned back to the computer.
"I see." He said.
"Parker! We're starting again, come play!" Someone called.
"Coming," He called back, "I'll talk to you later kid." He said and walked away. I didn't get a response from anyone and started to worry but my phone must have finally caught the wifi because my phone just about literally exploded. I checked it and saw that I was added to four group chats. One with the FD, one with the PD, one with the SRU and one with the paramedics. I scanned over the messages and what I gathered was that everyone was doing fine. I send a message to each chat.

Me to Fire 🔥: Who is everyone?

Me to Po-Po 🚓: Who is everyone?

Me to SRU 📢: Who is everyone?

Me to Medics 🚑: Who is everyone?

They all replied with their names at the same time and I spent time making everyone a contact. That is, until the phone rang.

"Nine one one, what's your emergency?" I asked.
"My ex-husband is at my house and he's threatening my children's dog. He's violating the restraining order that I have against him and I think he's on something." A woman explained calmly.
"Okay, what is your address?" I asked and turned to my computer to pull up the PD communication thing. I typed in her address and what's going on. I also said that they should send two cars. I got a message back saying that there were two cars about three minutes out.
"Alright ma'am, officers will be there in about three minutes. Make sure that your children and dog are inside and safe." I said.
"My kids are still sleeping upstairs, thank you." She said.
"The officers should be there soon, is he doing anything different?" I asked.
"No, he's just pacing outside and yelling. I don't want him to wake up the street. There are young kids." She said.
"I understand, what's he yelling about?" I asked.
"He's yelling about how the kids and I are the only good things to happen to him, and that I made a mistake by divorcing him." She said.
"Do you have eyes on him?" I asked.
"I do. He's pacing in the front yard."
"Is he coming close to the house?" I asked.
"He's not. The officers are here, I'm going to hang up." She said.
"Okay, have a good day ma'am." I said and she hung up. There wasn't much of anything the rest of the day. The group chats stayed fairly active and I checked in on them every now and then. I got a message from Brendon at about ten in the morning.
