Chapter 9: Blushing
Clara's P.O.V.
Leaving Bernadine with a dumbfounded face, I walked further down the hall for a meeting with the Gemstones.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, I have a meeting with the Gemstones, discussing school issues, events, etc.
I put my bag down on a chair in the front.
"Hi Clara." Peter waved.
His cheeks were a little pink.
"Hi!" I waved back.
Grace Bill tapped on my shoulder.
"He likes you!" She whispered in my ear.
Then it hit me, "He does?"
"He's blushing." She pointed out.
"I think he was looking at you though." I shot back.
Color flushed away from her cheeks.
"That's not true!" Grace protested. "I think...."
"You better believe it." I snapped, and turned to the front.
"He really does like you, seriously." Carisse, who was beside me said.
"It's obvious isin't it?" I whispered in defeat.
The meeting went on, and we mostly talked about the field trip.

"Bye guys," I waved as I grabbed my stuff.
"Hey Clara," Peter tapped my shoulder.
"Y-yes?" I stuttered.
"It seems like you didn't really want to talk about the field trip," he said.
"I-" I tried creating a reason. "Have just been thinking of a lot lately."
"Oh, okay," he said, unconvinced, but he eventually bought it in the end and left.
Phew. I sighed in my head. That was close.
