Why another text? This is freaking me out... Is someone still after me? Are they plotting something?
Stephen: "Is everything okay? What're you looking at?"
I almost forgot Stephen was with me in the restroom. This text threw me off my mental track... I reluctantly showed him the texts.
Stephen: "Who's this?"
Me: "I don't know... I've asked before, but they won't answer me... Do you think they know something?"
Stephen: "Uhh... Like what?"
Me: "I... I don't know... Maybe they just wanna mess with me because of what happened... Or maybe they know something else related to it. Like who hit me with their car."
Stephen: "Can we talk about this outside? The vomit is starting to smell bad..."
Me: "Oh. Uhh... Sure, sorry."
As Stephen and I walked outside, I continued.
Me: "What if they wanna kill me...?"
Stephen: "What? Why would they? I say just relax, man. Don't get so paranoid. You'll be alright. I'll go with you if you want."
Me: "Really?"
Stephen: "For sure, dude. Class should be over in like 15 minutes. After it's over, we'll go."
Me: "Thanks a ton, man..."
Stephen: "It's really no problem. We'll check it out together."
Stephen and I walked back to class. Everyone seemed to be doing their own thing, but I received glances from a few students. I tried my very hardest to ignore them. Santiago and Noah's glares I felt the most... I hope they don't stay upset with me...
When class ended, Stephen approached me and put his hand on my shoulder. I wondered more and more who was on the other end of those texts...
Stephen: "Ready?"
Me: "I don't know..."
Stephen: "Don't worry. We'd still be on campus, so if anything happens we can leave."
Me: "I guess so..."
Soon, we were off to the school gym. It took me a minute to notice, but I had felt a tremor in my stomach. It gurgled more as I got more nervous. We reached the entrance to the gym at last... The door was open, but it was dark and seemed rid of any other students. We stopped.
Me: "My stomach is starting to hurt again..."
Stephen: "There's another bathroom in here if you need to puke again."
I thought about it for a moment, took a deep breath, and walked inside. I hate going to shady places on campus after school... It's always creepy when there's no one else around.
