Fleetwood Mac had a show in Missouri on the last day of April. Stevie and Lindsey were arriving at the hotel in the same car. Many of their actions lately had people’s eyebrows raising, but they weren’t going to explain themselves to anyone.

The driver stopped and Lindsey opened the door and stepped out first, he saw paparazzi, but he offered Stevie his hand nevertheless. She got out, still holding onto his hand firmly. They had cameras in their faces right away and questions were asked, but Lindsey pushed his way through the crowd, Stevie following behind him.

Stevie pushed her sunglasses on top of her head once they were in the lobby of the hotel. “Why on earth would those people be interested in a couple of rockstars from the 70’s?... Linds?” She looked at him concerned, when he didn’t answer.

“Sorry, I just… you look beautiful.”

“You could have said I am beautiful, but whatever.” She said smirking.

“Oh come on, I just complimented you!”

“I know.” She smiled tenderly and kissed his cheek. “Shall we book a room?”

Lindsey nodded and went over to the administrator. It was clear who they were everywhere they went, but the staff always had to act indifferent. “Good evening, Sir. How may I help you?”

“I’d like to book a room.”

“We have two empty rooms on the fifth floor with a beautiful view.”

“No, we only need one.”

“I see.” The man couldn’t help but look at Stevie and Lindsey. “Ok, so one of the two is slightly bigger, I assume you’d prefer that.”

“Yes, that would be great.”

“How many nights are you staying with us, Sir?”

“One.” Lindsey then looked at Stevie. “Or are we ditching the band and staying here longer?”

“They wouldn’t like that much, don’t you think?” She chuckled and he looked back at the waiting employee. “One night.” The man nodded, typed in the information and handed the key card to Lindsey.

Stevie was resting her head on Lindsey’s shoulder while they were waiting for the elevator. “I love how we confuse people.”

“I know right? The poor guy at the desk!”

“You know how I hate computer related stuff, so Karen or Sara occasionally keep me updated on what’s going on the message boards and all. I can’t believe so many of our fans spend their time speculating about us.”

“There are message boards for that?” Lindsey raised his eyebrow, they stepped into the elevator and he pushed fifth floor.

“Oh yeah! You wouldn’t believe. They discuss every era and what might have been going on between us. I think it’s a bit weird, but adorable.”

“And what according to our fans is going on between us now?”

“I haven’t really got much information about this tour yet, but they think there’s a chance for us still. They doubted the Unleashed tour, but they’re dead certain we had an affair during Say You Will and they’re almost sure we were together during The Dance.”

“How do they know all of this?!” Lindsey asked, surprised.

“Apparently it’s the way we act, our body language and all that.” Stevie explained. “Seriously though, like why are we even talking about this!” She laughed and they went in search for their room.
