The night was anything from sleepy. The five boys and Y/N sat on the floor of the living room and spent the rest of the night, laughing, pulling each others leg and stuffing themselves with food and alcohol that the boys had bought over. Then well into the early morning when the sun came out sleepily, all of them fell asleep one by one, around the living room.

Jin was the first to wake up around late morning and then went on to wake up the rest of them. Once the boys had left, the packers brought the rest of the items and Jungkook busied himself in arranging the house.

For the life of her, Y/N couldn't stop staring at every corner of the new house. It was bright and filled with sunlight from well placed windows, yet it gave her slight chills. She was continuously on edge and jumpy. She kept looking over her shoulders and flinching at no noise. If Jungkook noticed her strange behaviour, he didn't comment on it.

Y/N stood in the kitchen, unpacking the glassware and placing it in the cabinets. Her mind was numb with the constant state of aware all morning and it was quite late in the evening now. She yawned mightily but before she could place the plate in the cabinet, a warm breath spread across the nape of her neck. Shivering, she paused. Goosebumps on her arm told her this wasn't Jungkook. Bile rose in her throat in fear. Was she hallucinating or maybe it was all just a dream because surely the person behind her was not the man she loved as she could hear Jungkook setting up his playstation in the living room. She closed her eyes.

'Leave me alone' she thought out.

Like dark tendrils of crawling smoke, a breath passed by her ear 'But darling I've just begin'

Startled, she dropped the plate and it crashed against the counter, shattering into shards and dusting her all over. Jungkook came running to the kitchen and gasped out loud when he saw the damaged glass all over on the floor. He quickly took out the dustpan and swept as much as possible in it, asking her to stay put. A few minutes later when he had swept it all up, he disposed it and approached the still frozen Y/N. He hugged her slowly, pressing her head to his shoulder and cooing into her ears that it was alright and that it was just an accident. Y/N wrapped her arms around his waist slowly, her eyes fixed on the cabinets on the opposite wall.

Reflecting back from the glass of those cabinets, Y/N could clearly see a dark shadow, with wispy smoke around the edges of the silhouette, standing next to her own reflection. It stared at her, its piercing silver eyes shone like diamonds. It seemed to glitter in amusement as Jungkook swayed her side to side, trying to comfort her for he could feel her rapidly beating heart against his own chest. The shadow in the reflection had no solid form as it swayed along with her, mimicking her.

A dream. It has to be a dream. Maybe I am sleep deprived.

Y/N closed her eyes for a few seconds and when she opened them again the shadow had vanished and only her own eyes stared back at her over Jungkook's shoulder.

It's just all in my head.

Little did Y/N know how true her words were.
