"Let me just kiss Isa and get my sweater." She said making sure to look back and smile at him.
Paula gave him a pat on the back. "Someone is about to get lucky."
"I already am lucky."
"Yes, but now."
Shawn looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"You and Camila...you know...gettin' it on."
Shawn's eyes widened. "Wait, what?!"
"Oh, you can't be that dense, Shawnie poo."
He began to pace as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I wasn't prepared for this."
"Oh, I have some condoms I can spare."
"No. No. Not that type of preparation."
Paula studied him like he was a creature in the zoo demonstrating odd-like behavior. "Well, saddle up man."
"We've only ever kissed and not like the way we just did."
Paula waved it off. "It will be fine. You two are hot. I am not gonna lie, If I could watch, I wouldn't say no."
Shawn was too nervous to even react to that last comment.
Paula walked over and placed her hands on his shoulders and lowered him so he sat on the arm rest of the couch. Now they were eye to eye and she said, "So it is the first time with her. It will be fine. Just take all of your past experiences and use those. You know, like the highlights...just the hits, ya feel me?"
Shawn leaned in closer and whispered. "I don't have any...past experiences."
"Excuse me?"
"I've never even...released an album."
"Okay, so we are sticking with this metaphor. Are you serious? What the HELL have you been waiting for?"
"Her." He said as his eyes shifted to Camila walking back into the room. She appeared to be struggling to get her arm into one of the sleeves.
He stood up and walked over to help her.
Paula had tears in her eyes as she watched him fix the sleeve and hold it up for her to slip her arm into.
Camila blushed as he gazed adoringly at her.
Camila noticed that Paula was crying as she turned to say goodbye. "Sweetie, what's wrong?"
Paula shook her head and waved it off.
Camila waked over and put her arm around her. "What is it?"
"It's....I'm just thinking about...artists releasing their first solo album."
Camila glanced at Shawn with a dumbfounded look on her face. "This makes you cry...because?"
"It's just when they hold out for the perfect record deal...instead of just jumping the first label to come along."
Camila shrugged her shoulders at Shawn and he chuckled. "Shawn and I will stay with you until you feel better, okay?"
"No!" Paula cried out then stood up and practically pushed Camila towards Shawn and out the door. "Please GO! I will be fine. Love you two. Go have fun."
Once they were outside, Camila looked at Shawn and laughed. "Sometimes, I don't know about her."
Shawn smiled. "She has a good heart."
Camila slid her arm around Shawn's waist as they walked together.
"So, where to?"
"Well, I haven't had a chance to see what you did with the apartment above the restaurant. Can you show me?"
