Too Close Of A Call

I jump in a puddle and splash Bakugo. He glares at me and I laughed. It been almost a full year since we first met. Winter went by rather quickly. I would usually be saying it was too long of a wait but...with Bakugo it's not. We had a lot of fun haha. We learned more about each other and even saved each other on close calls during missions. "Hey..uh Bakugo I've been wondering ..uh actually nevermind" I said looking away and scratching the back of my head. "spill it" said Bakugo. "Well its just..I want to be on..first name bases with you... we've been together for long enough and know a lot about each other" I said blushing. He smiled at me. "Took you long enough..Ei" said Katsuki walking faster. My eyes widened and I ran after him.

"Ah there is the boat they said we can use" I said pointing to a small row boat. Katsuki glares at it. "That fuckin thing is supposed to take us all the way to that island?!" Said Katsuki yelling. I sigh and walked up to it. "Well come on..the sooner we get this done the sooner we can leave this boat behind" I said pushing it off shore. He growls and walked over then got in. I smile and hop in. We start rowing twords the Island. A strange Yoaki was spotted by a local and we have been sent to see if it's friendly. A simple mission to start off the spring.

Katsuki stops rowing and takes a break. I keep rowing for the both of us. "Dam this is killing my arms...how are you?" He asked rubbing his arm. "Am good" I said looking back at him with a smile. He looked up ahead and then so did I. The Island was in sight now. I picked up the speed. We hit land and tie off the boat. I swing my club onto my shoulder and start looking for the Yokai. Katsuki sniffs the air and followed me closely. I cough and the smell of burning flesh hits my nose. "Fuck that's nasty!" Yelled Katsuki covering his nose. He has a better nose..it must be worse for him. I gag and hold my nose.

We hear a scream and I start running twords it. "Wait- fuck" said Katsuki running after me. I break the thick jungle and into a clearing. A little girl was being burned by some kind of fire Yokai. He had scales up and down his arms, around his face and he had horns. He had a long scale like tail. I felt the heat were I was. "Oi leave her alone" I yelled running up to him. He lets go of the girl and catches my club when I swing it at him. A first meets my stomach and I almost black out from the force. I fell back and let go of my club. "Eijiro!" Yelled Katsuki. He glares and snarls at the Yokai. "Fuck you! You dragon bastard!" He yelled as he charged at the lizard like Yokai.

I cough and get up. I was now in my Oni form as I grab my club. Katsuki dodged the yoaki's attacks. He is more agile then me. Am slow and strong. Kat is fast and hits wear it counts. I wait for a opening. Katsuki punched the Yokai and explodes his face. It did nothing to him. The Yoaki punched him back and sends him flying back. I charge and swing at him. I land a few hits and dodged a couple. He cought my club again and rips it from my hand. He tosses it away and punched me in the stomach. I fell to my knees and he lines up and fire first for my chest. Am too slow and weak to dodge him. I suddenly felt a hand push me back and I looked up to see Katsuki take the hit instead of me.

He collapsed liked a dead body onto the ground. Fuck! "Katsuki!" I yell as tears form in my eyes. The Yokai makes a move to burn Katsuki and I looked for my club. Fuck this guy...he is not living after that. I grab my club and charge at him. I swing and hit his head then knee him in the gut. When he Neal's down I wack him multiple times with my club. "Die you sick Bastard!" I yell as I keep hitting him with my club. His skull cracked open and blood was everywhere. I drop my club and run to Katsuki's side. His chest had a huge burn on hit, and a large bruise was there as well.

"Katsuki..you there..please..wake up..Kat.. please..I..I love you..your...my better half.. please just wake up" I cried beside him. I then felt it...a heart beat. I move my finger around his neck. Another faint beat. I sigh as tears fell down my face. "That one was too close of a call... idiot" I said looking down at him. I brush some hair from his face and look back at the dead Yokai. "Too close" I whispered.
