Chise

Chise smiled as she walked through the forest alongside Elias and Ruth. she was holding a woven basket in her hands as she walked, it was full of herbs. spices, and berries that naturally grew in the forest. silver would need all these things for dinner tonight, for they had invited friends over for a big picnic in a clearing outside. as they were getting closer to the house Ruth picked up a scent "ill be right back Chise" her familiar said before sprinting towards the house. Chise was confused,

"I wonder what that was all about" she said. Elias just nodded, saying that he didn't know why he had run off either.  "Ruth" called Chise as they got closer to the house. Ruth came over to her

"yeah Chise?"

"take this to silver please" said Chise as she put down the basket. Her familiar nodded and picked it up in his mouth before going to the house once more. as they approached the house Chise heard what sounded like human voices "Elias," she began, but he had already hidden in  her shadow. she smiled and continued walking. she walked closer to the people visiting and smiled, "hello" she said "what can I help you with?" she asked, a smile still on her face.

Yuuki

he couldn't believe his eyes, she was there! there infrount of him! He had to stop himself from embracing her. He had to admit that he was surprised, extremely surprised, at the fact she wasn't being held somewhere or have chains on. he was about to speak when Fumiki tugged on his sleeve "dad! their is something in her shadow! he cried, hiding behind his father. it was then that he noticed his daughters shadow had a different shape to it, and it had red eyes glowing. she looked surprised but just laughed it off

"oh I guess by that look on your face you both have the sight haha! well I guess their is no use in hiding then!" she cheerfully said as she looked at her shadow. Yuuki gasped as black-like tentacles formed at Chise's feet. he was about to yell out and push her aside when the blackish tendrils started to form into a big figure, Chise getting lifted up as it did so. soon it formed and Yuuki was taken aback as he saw IT.  IT had Chise in his arms carrying her, and a skull for a face. "Elias! Put me down! I'm not injured and I can waaaalk!!!" she cried out, annoyed. 'THIS is Elias Ainsworth!?' thought Yuuki, stunned. Elias set Chise down and- 'did, did he just NUZZLE MY DAUGHTER!?' he thought furiously. Elias looked at Chise

"ill be in my study" he stated before walking inside of the house. Chise smiled at him before turning back to Yuuki.

"alright then, what was it you came here to get? ill write it down and depending on what it is we could have it done in about an hour or two.. Ruth!!" she called. a few moments later a black dog came outside with a notebook in his mouth, as well as a pen that was attached to it. "thank you!" she said to the animal smiling as she pet its head. Fumiki looked at me and I finally got the courage to talk.

"m-may my son pet your dog?" I asked. and was taken aback as she laughed,

"Ruth, can he pet you?" she asked the animal. I was confused on why she was talking to it, but then it spoke

"why not, he's a cute kid" the dog said. I jumped, but Fumiki just thought that was cool

"woah he talks!" my son exclaimed as he began to pet the dogs head.

"yes he does! he is my familiar Ruth, a Church grim!" said Chise happily as she sweetly smiled. "Ruth can you go help Silver?' she asked. the dog nodded and turned into a human. once again Yuuki was shocked

"I-im sorry but we don't have a place to stay, would you mind if we stayed here for a few days?" I asked looking helpless. Chise bit her lip,

"here come in, ill talk to Elias about it" she said, opening the door to invite the two in.
