My eyes narrowed as a protectively wrapped my arms over Chise and pulled her in close. I recognized the voice to be one of the guests we had so kindly let stay, the father, I believe. He angrily slammed open the door and Ruth lept from the end of our bed to snarl at him. Chise was surprised and confused, but my only goal right now was keeping her out of harms way.

I burst into the room after what I had just heard, to see my Daughter wrapped in the arms of that...that Monster. her pet or, whatever he was jumped off the bed and began to snarl at me, but my only care right now was keeping her out of harms way.

Ruth
after experiencing what I would say, a sickening scenario (silver would have called it adorable, she can't speak but her eyes would say it for sure) where I was starting to get uncomfortable and was about to leave, we heard a loud shout and one of our guests came barging in. I knew Elias had it handled by the way he was holding Chise protectively, but I sprang from the end of the bed and snarled ferociously, because As her familiar, the only thing I was thinking about was keeping her out of harms way.
And it is done! This took me quite awhile I must say, but nevertheless it is out! Very short chapter I know,but at least it's out! And I've already started on the next chapter don't worry!!
