♥ CHAPTER 13 ♥

Mahir slept on the sofa thinking about Bela. He had a smile on his face imagining their sweet encounters.

Sumitra saw Mahir sleeping on the sofa.

Sumitra ruffled his hair. Mahir woke up feeling her motherly touch.

Sumitra smiled and said, ' So, my son is in LOVE. '

Mahir was shocked. He said instantly, ' How do you know? '
But then he realised what he said. He tried to cover it up, ' N..nothing like that, Mom. '

Sumitra laughed, ' Mahir, I am your Mom. Don't try to fool me.'

Mahir gave up. He said, ' Even I think so, Mom. But still, I..I don't know. I mean, I don't want to hurt Bela anyway.'

Sumitra smiled, ' So, the girl is Bela!'

Mahir smiled sheepishly. 

Sumitra held his hand and said, ' Mahir, I know you more than you know yourself. You may flirt with many girls but never took it seriously. But, in Bela's matter, you think twice before doing. Even right now, you're confused about your feelings because you don't want to hurt her. We are always scared to hurt the person we love, But sometimes we end up hurting them the most. I don't want you to do that with Bela. She may not open up herself easily but I can see care for you in her eyes. Now, you have to earn her respect and then, she will love you whole heartedly. '

Mahir gained enough confidence after talking to his mother. He said, ' I promise I will make every possible efforts to make her fall for me, to steal her HEART from herself. '

Having realised that how much he loves Bela, Mahir decided to earn her respect and slept peacefully.

AFTER 3 MONTHS,

Mahir was successful in earning Bela's trust and respect.  He remembered the incident that occurred 15 days ago when their internal exams were going on.

It was their accountancy exam and Bela had forgotten her calculator. Giving accountancy exam without calculator is next to impossible task.
Although major portion was theoretical but Bela being a studious one, was highly tensed.

Bela said to the boy sitting ahead of her,' hey, can you please share your calculator with me? I've forgotten mine.'

The boy, with an evil smirk, replied ,' Sure. But you've to answer me this question number 1 to 5. Only then I will give you the calculator.'

This was against Bela's ethics. But she required calculator anyhow. She was helpless.

Bela was going to say something when Mahir interrupted, ' Bela, no need to take help of this disgusting person. '
Bela said, ' But, calculator? '
Mahir cupped her cheeks and comforted her, ' Don't worry. You can take mine. You use it in first 60 minutes and then I'll use it. You don't need to do things which are against your principles. And you're the strongest amongst us. You can never be so helpless. '

Bela saw him respectfully for the first time. Till now, she only thought Mahir to be an immature and flirty person. But today he proved her wrong. 

After exam, when Mahir was standing in the lobby, Bela went and hugged him.

Mahir was shocked for a second but then he hugged her back.
Bela said, ' Thank you, Mahir. If you wouldn't have helped me today, then I.. '
Mahir cut her in between, 'Shh... Remember, I am always there to help you, no matter what the time and situation is. Understood? '
Bela nodded her head.

Mahir was smiling remembering that incident, their first hug. He was lost in his la la land when Vish snapped her fingers in front of his face, ' Mahir, where are you lost? '

Mahir chuckled , ' No where. I am here only. '
Vish asked, ' So, you are coming right? '

'Where? ', asked Mahir.

Vish slapped her forehead, ' oh god! You didn't heard anything? God knows why are you smiling so much nowadays.!'

Vikrant said, ' Listen Mahir, our school is organising a trip to a forest resort for camping and fun. So are you coming? '

Mahir asked immediately , ' Is Bela coming? '

And with that, all their friends, snapped their heads in his direction!!
