One Week Later

Shiloh looked over at Bobby from the couch and sighed. "I need to call the mill and tell them when I'll be able to come back."

Bobby looked at her over his glasses as he was going through some paperwork for the club and shook his head. "You were just released from the hospital this morning."

Shiloh shrugged. "I know but the bills won't pay themselves and I'm probably behind. I haven't even thought of that yet."

Bobby shook his head. "Nah, Jake paid the utility bill out of his paycheck." She started to say something but he shook his head again. "Let the boy be. If he wants to pay for something, let him. God knows you've taken care of them all these years."

Shiloh sighed and shook her head as she turned back to the television. "Even so, I'm going to have to let them know that I've been released."

"No need. You quit three days ago."

Shiloh turned from the tv with a shocked look on her face. "Excuse me?"

Bobby smirked a little before looking back down at the papers in his lap. "You heard me, Prissy. You quit. All three jobs."

Shiloh shook her head and stood up quickly, wincing when she put her weight on her bad knee. "Look, Bobby, you don't get to waltz in here and start changing... "

Bobby stood up, shoving the papers in front of him back on the table. "Woah! You stop right there, Prissy! I'm not waltzing in and doing anything that doesn't need to be done. It was understandable when you're husband was alive and you were carrying all of the load alone, but dammit, he's gone, and you're killing yourself for no reason, other than stubborn pride!"

Shiloh shook her head as she swiped at the tears that were now rolling down her face. "You don't understand. I've always handled it by myself."

Bobby sighed and stepped closer, taking the reluctant woman into his arms. "I know that, baby. I do. So do the kids, but honey, you don't have to do it alone anymore. You got two kids that are willing to help out, and an old man, if you want him, that can certainly shoulder more than you think." When Shiloh's eyes shot to his, he grinned and nodded. "That's right, and if you want me as your old man, you're going to have to meet a few of my demands."

Shiloh sighed from where her head rested on his chest. "What are those?"

Bobby shrugged. "One, you're going to stand by the executive decision that me and the kids made about your jobs. Two, you're going to take a couple of weeks to heal up completely before we even start to discuss you finding another job. Three, before that happens, you're going to Tahoe with me for a weekend. Just the two of us."

Shiloh frowned as she looked up at him. "What's in Tahoe?"

Bobby grinned. "You'll find out when we get there."

The next morning, Shiloh woke to find the kids already gone to school and Gemma and Luann sitting at her kitchen table, drinking coffee. Shiloh grinned as she helped herself to a cup of coffee.

"You know, I don't really need babysitters."

Gemma chuckled as Luann just rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. Like you won't be combing the want ads over your Cheerios when nobody's watching."

Gemma laughed harder at the guilty look that came over Shiloh's face as she sat down with the other two women. "Yeah, that's what Bobby thought."

Shiloh sighed. "What I really need to find is a car that I can afford."

Luann snorted as Gemma grinned. "What did Bobby say about that?"

Shiloh gave her a look which made the SAMCRO matriarch chuckle. "He said that we'd discuss it later." She shook her head. "Honestly, he acts like I'm going to break if a stiff wind blows. I would hope that I'm stronger than that."

Gemma nodded as she lit a cigarette. "Honey, he knows that you're stronger than that. Believe me, these boys do not look for weak women. You gotta have a backbone to be an old lady."

Luann nodded. "We're not here to babysit anyway. Gemma and I have an offer to run by you."

Shiloh nodded. "Okay, what is it?"

Gemma tapped the ash off of her cigarette before speaking. "We think that we have a solution for your job problem." She shrugged. "At least we do when Bobby lets you get another one."

Luann nodded. "I need someone to handle the books at Cara Cara and Gemma needs help at TM. You could work part of the week with me and part of the week with Gem. Between the two of us, we could pay you what you made at two of the jobs, and Bobby and Jacob can kick in any extra money you need."

Shiloh nodded slowly. "That would work but I could always get something to do in the evenings. That way I wouldn't have to depend on Bobby or Jacob."

Gemma sighed as Luann gave her a dirty look. "Look, you need to get over that shit. Are you or are you not, for all intents and purposes, Bobby's old lady?" When Shiloh nodded, Luann continued. "Right. So eventually, he's going to be parking his bike in this driveway at night. He has a right to expect you to be here when he is, sweetie. He's not going to sweat paying a bill or two. Neither will Jacob."

Shiloh held up a hand as the other two women smiled in victory. "Alright, fine! He can help with expenses. Happy now?"

Gemma grinned as Luann chuckled. "Almost. Now, we go have a girls day out." she put her cigarette out then pointed at Shiloh. "Go get dressed. We have shopping to do."
