Hi there, Locklylelover here. Just thought I'd give you guys a Divergent oneshot, this takes place about 2 years after the epilogue of Allegiant. Meaning, Tobias is about 23-24 ish, and Christina is about 22-23 ish. If you want to find out the ages of the rest of the characters just add 4 and a half years to their age at the end of Allegiant, not including the Epilogue, which takes place 2 and a half years after Tris and Uriah die (😥 AHHH MEH BAYBIES! ) Anywho Enjoy and let me know if you'd like something like this more often!

Tris

- Voice monologue #1 -

They say dying is easy, it's basically like a really long nap you never wake up from, Right? Well dying isn't really easy when you never die in the first place. My name is Beatrice Prior- I prefer Tris thank you very much- and i'm divergent -and alive, that too-

I was supposed to have died 4 years ago.... Well no, that didn't happen. Sure, everyone thought I died, Heck they actually saw my dead body, they even scattered my ashes. But nonetheless im alive, And not happy to be either. I'll give you a quick rundown of what happened.

The order of events went like this

1. I died ( Supposedly) of a gunshot wound.

2. I woke up in a laboratory, Disoriented, Confused, And hella mad.

3. 2 days after I woke up, the doctors said someone wanted to see me. I completely lost my mind when Will walked in. Yes, Will, my freind that I shot. I practically threw myself at him, crying my eyes out.

4. I learned that all the friends I thought were dead, are alive. Yes, Uriah, Lynn, Tori, Marlene.... I was shocked.

5. David appeared, Yes David I'm shocked too, and absolutely furious. Turns out his memory was not in fact, erased.

6. David drugged all of us while we slept and placed us in a huge room. I mean huge, this place was massive.

7. David put me under the serum they gave Tobias. The serum that turns freinds into enemy's. I'd.... rather not talk about what happend after that.............

Well uh.... yeah.... now im here, on the run inside Abnegation. Oh right, the factions are still here. We do have new rules now, better rules... Especially in Dauntless and Erudite
* Sigh *

Well bye....

* End of voice monologue *

I plop down on the street watching people walk by, they never look my way, given that i'm wearing Abnegation grey. I let out a breath and stand, staring down the street.

I walk with my face downcast, terrified someone will recognize me.

I stop short when I see a broad shouldered man infront of me. A tattoo of fire peaking out from his shirt, curling around his neck. I recognize that tattoo. Tobias. A girl bounds up next to him. I recognize her instantly. Christina! A surge of happyness goes through me.

Tears well up in my eyes. " Tobias, Chris! " They both turn, wild looks on their faces. I hope that I don't look so diffrent they don't recognize me. My hair's longer, my face looks more like a womans and not a child, same with my body, I finally don't look like im 12 anymore.

Tobias and Christina stand there, staring at me. Christinas eyes well up with tears. " No, No...No! Your....your dead " She says, cupping her face in her hands. Tobias takes a step foward, his face a blank mask.
" Tris? "

I smile. " In the flesh "

Tobias throws himself at me, crushing me into a hug. " This is impossible. "
I grin. " I know. " I feel the wetness of tears on my shoulder, I smile wider.   " You don't have to cry, Ive only been dead for what....4 years now. " Christina lets out a choked laugh, she comes up and hugs me also.

By now a crowd has gathered around us. Someone whispers " Isn't that Beatrice Prior!? She's dead! " The  Murmuring from the crowd surrounds me. Suddenly I feel claustrophobic. The whispering people is all I can hear, my head pounds.

I break away from Tobias and Christina. I look around at the people, my eyes wide. David will hear about me showing my face, he will come after me, I just know it. I have to get out if here. To save my freinds from the death and disaster that seem to follow me.

I turn to Tobias and Christina, both if them supporting confused expressions, tears glistening on their faces. I smile sadly, a tear tracing down my cheek. " Well now you know im alive....I'm...... sorry. "

And I run, breaking through the crowd. I run faster than I ever have. I can hear Tobias yelling after me, I fight the urge to turn around. I can hear Tobias's famous words echoing in my ears.
