You land on the ground in front of Edward Enigma's Escape Rooms, it took you 30 minutes because Hawkgirl flew around looking for a place that wuld be open for our date at this hour and this is one of the few places that was open. You entered and an excitded young red headed man in a green sjuit with a purple mask greeted you quizically.
"What is a fine couple such as yourselves doing out so late? A riddle, if ever I heard one" he ponders ojut loud to us.
"We are on a hot date" says Hawkgirl.
"Riddle me this, what is ready in 3 minutes, has a group leaving now and rhymes with "estate tomb"?" said Eddy Nigma.
We had to ask him to repeat a few times slowly, and he got more and more excited with each one. At one point he changed the number frm 3 to 2 and Hawkgirl was readyh to execute him for trickery.
"It's the Escape Room!!" he exclaimed, unable to hold in his excitement. He gestur4ed vaguely to the door of the escape room and dashed off cackling to look at the carpark security footage in case another group arrived.
We venture in to the room, the door closes ominously behind us. We turn and are greeted by a sea of red. We are in a Flash room? What? A long running track stretched from one end of the room to the other, and next to it was a motion sensor activated timer. You look around the room and walk the length of the race track. When you gte to the other end a recording of the Flash's voice comes over the radio "Old Grammy Flash is better than you, try to keep up bud"
Hawkgirl raised an eyebrow, "It's a speed challenge? My wings can fly really fast"
We walk back to the start of the track together determindely. She stretches for a minute and then readies herself at the starting line, hitching up her pants a little. You use your HAWKGIRL Mace Replicia 1:1 Scale and Hawkgirl's mace as cheerleading pom poms. With the speed of a cheetah she zooms from one end of the room to the other, the momentum almost sends her through the wall but she is too skilled to let that happen. A screen lights up bright green with a check mark, but before you can celebrate a red screen also lights up with a big cross.
"Oh heck, it looks like we both have to zoom" says Hawkgirl, she is not even out of breath!
"I'm not the fastest man alive by myself, I have a little help from my team! You guys need to work as a team toO!" says the Flashes voice over the radio.
It is Hawkgirls turn to cheerlead now.
You do not make it fast enough on your first 12 tries.
You notice that Hawkgirl is considering something.
"What is it hunnybunch?" you ask cutely.
She reaches for her bag and prepares to take something out of it, it looks like she is having war flashbacks or something.
"I was going to save this for the end of our date" she says yoinking a jetpack out of her bag. "I want you to be able to fly alongside me so I got you my jetpack from the war"
You would recognise that jetpack anywhere without Hawkgirl's explanation, it is the jetpack that Hawkgirl rode when she was a bombshell in the war!! You strap it on full of emotion and shot from one end of the room to the other like a champ.
"Woah, not so fast guys, you're going to put me out of a job" Flash chuckles as a key slowly descends from the roof. It is engraved with the words "KEY TO THE CITY" and is very large. You and Hawkgirl slot it in to the lock and plunge in to the next room.
