~May 2019~

"You okay to stay here? I swear I'll be back in about..." Harry paused, watching as his wife cradled their beautiful, newly born son, feeding him tenderly.

"Okay now I don't want to go at all," He smiled at the beautiful sight, Archie wearing a white baby grow and Meghan with her hair tied into a messy bun. Only a matter of hours ago she was in labour, but now she was snuggled into the sofa with the best thing that had ever happened to her (minus Harry, they were on a par).

"Harry, go! It'll take twenty minutes at the most," Doria strolled in, holding a blue muslin cloth, folding it as she went.

"Love, just go, we'll be fine then you can come back and cuddle him for a bit after I've fed him," She beamed up at Harry, yet again mesmerising him with her happiness and positivity having just gone through the most amount of pain anyone could go through.

"I'll be back, bye little man, drink up, I want a cuddle," He placed his hand behind Meghan on the sofa and placed a kiss on the top of her head, rubbing her hand that was securing Archie into hold.

"I think he's almost finished now anyway, goooo!" His wife shooed him away, eventually he threw on a jumper and made his way out of the door to go and announce the news.

"That man is already an incredible father, and you a mother," Her mum placed the cloth onto the arm of the sofa.

"He really is," As Archie began to fuss, Meghan took the muslin from where her mum had left it, tucking it over her shoulder, and lifting the baby up gently. She softly rubbed his back, kissing his head.

"He has the Ragland nose mind, look at the cutie," The grandmother leant back to watch him, eyes squinting as he was being winded.

"That he does, mom, thank you for being here," Meghan felt the wind from Archie and smiled, taking him from her shoulder and cradling him in her arms, removing the now dirty cloth.

"Of-course Flower, I wouldn't miss it for the world. The real question here though, is how are you feeling?"

"Now that we're home, I feel at ease; everything is just so pure and surreal, he's just perfect. It's so weird, like this one small person has filled a hole in my life that was never even there. This whole thing is magic."

"And physically?"

"Mom, I'm okay. It all hurts, but I've got painkillers and I'm fine."

"If you're sure. You do look in your element with him."

"Everything about him is so perfect I can't really comprehend it."

"To be fair, you have been awake since midnight. When was that, fourteen hours ago? You should get some rest."

"He's already drifting off to sleep, I might just try and catch a quick nap," The new mother rubbed her finger along the infant's small leg that was outstretched over her.

"I'll get you some extra cushions and his Moses basket, is it in his nursery?" Doria leapt up, already heading out the door as Meghan replied.

"Yes, it's on the floor by the changing station. Thank you, mom!" She looked down at Archie, who's little brown eyes were almost closed, watching his chest rise and fall contently.
