its finally friday. what has happened the past few days is, asher made the football team, hayden and annie got into a fight, and haydens parents told him they are moving to maine. none of his friends know yet. he is planning on telling them at the sleepover tonight. at school he was acting weird all day. during 4th hour asher, annie, kenzie, and johnny all have it together.

an:has anyone noticed that hayden has been...off today?
ke:its probably because of that fight you two had earlier this week.
an:no, we got past that. he was perfectly fine yesterday.
jo:i dont know then. i can see during football practice.
an:thank you john, your a life saver. i love you.
jo:i love you too anns
as:does anyone know the answer to number 4?
an:73 squared

ke:why are you actually doing your work?
as:i want to graduate
ke:its just sartorius's math class. he gives an A to everyone except his son.
as:aight, i guess im done with the work then.
ke:so anns, whats the plan for the sleepover tonight?
an:its a surprise. you will see when you get there and it all happens.

asher couldnt help but stare at annie. she was talking about something she was genuinely interested in and she looked so beautiful doing it. later that night everyone was at annies house and ready for the sleepover.

an:so as any good sleepover would start off, we are gonna play truth or dare.
ke:a classic
ha:i want to go first. someone give me a truth.
an:what is your biggest secret at the moment?
ha:what happens if you dont do it?
an:you dont get to sleep with a blanket tonight.
ha:okay fine, im moving to maine.
ke:omg...
jo:stop capping hayden.
ha:im telling the truth.
an:for real?
ha:yeah, im sorry.
ac:wow, never thought life would come to our group breaking apart like that.
ha:what do you mean? the group isnt breaking up. im still gonna come back to attaway to visit friends and family quite often.
an:but what about us?
ha:we can talk about all this later. lets continue the game.

they tried to continue the game but its not the same. after truth or dare they ordered and ate pizza and watched movies until they all fell asleep. the next morning annie woke up first, then hayden and kenzie, then anna, and finally asher and johnny. everyone was upstairs eating breakfast and conversating on how they are gonna keep good contact while hayden is gone. after everyone ate breakfast they went home. even hayden. he was leaving today. when hayden got home he went into his bedroom and looked around. he had spend just about every night of his life in this room and now it was empty and being passed onto someone else.

~3 months later~

annie was finally going to visit hayden in maine. its christmas break and she is planning on spending new years with the summeralls. after she finished her chores and was completely finished packing she headed to the airport. this also happened to be her first time not flying with a sibling, parent, friend, grandparent, or someone she knew. after she got passed security she walked through the airport. once her plane boarded she got in her seat and tried to sleep. but she couldnt. she was too excited to see her boyfriend. after many hourse of flying she got off the plane and went to baggage claim and stuff like that. she called an uber and went to haydens house. she knocked on the door and mrs.summerall answered. she knew annie was coming and so did dylan, hunter, and jimmy. haydens brothers and father. she hugged tisha (haydens mom).

ti:hey annie
an:hi titi
ti:how have you been sweetheart?
an:i have been good, i miss you guys a lot though and so does the rest of the gang
ti:we all miss you and everyone else too. i miss california bunches. the hot sun and beaches all year round. ugh, all we get in maine is rain and snow.
an:yeah i can only imagine. the new house is nice though
ti:it really is, little confusing still but i can get used to it. anyways want me to show you up to haydens bedroom? he is probably playing video games right now anyways
an:yes please

tisha walked to a hallway, they go down the hallway and there is some stairs. they go up the stairs and into another hallway. they walk to the total end of the hallway and to a closed door. tisha leaves annie alone for haydens reaction. annie slowly and quietly opens haydens door to see...
