over the past week asher and annie have been getting closer and closer. but today, today is the day they find out their new schedules. you may be confused on why thats such a big change but to this friend group it is one of the scariest days of the year. if everyone of them dont have at least one class with eachother the friend group will get harder to manage and BOOM! they slowly but surely break apart and stop being friends. its monday. the morning of schedule day. at school everyone got their schedules and met up with eachother.

an:everyone turn their papers in...3...2...1...go!

everyone turned their papers over. they all look at their schedules.

an:say your classes outloud. i will go first and we can go in a circle. i have science, math, gym, lunch, english, social studies, and free period.
ke:i have english, math, gym, lunch, social studies, free period, science.
as:i have science, english, gym, lunch, math, social studies, and free period
ac:i have math, english, science, lunch, free period, social studies, and gym
jo:i have english, gym, social studies, lunch, math, science, and free period
an:okay, thats not that bad. of course we all have lunch together so that good.
ke:yeah, we have it super easy this semester.
as:she is right, this semester is gonna be the best one yet.

~bell rings~

ac:okay bye love you all
an,as,ke,jo:love you too

annie and asher walk to class together.

mb:okay class, what we are doing right now is picking seats and then starting our unit.
class:ugh!

the teacher named off all the names and of course, annie and asher got to sit next to eachother. they started the unit and they have a project. they all went on throughout their days until gym. annie kenzie and asher have it together. they have to do the 1 mile run today. during the mile kenzie catches up to asher who was way ahead of everyone.

ke:okay ash, confess. you like annie.
as:what are you talking about kenz?
ke:i see the way you look at her. your in love ash.
as:n-no im not.
ke:annie told me what happened at the party the other week. you dont drink so i know you were sober.
as:so what if i like annie? she doesnt like me anyways.
ke:and how do you know that?
as:hayden.
ke:she is over him. go for it ash
as:i will think about it
ke:okay thats good enough for me. good luck bud.

kenz pats his shoulder twice and runs up ahead of him and catches up with annie. but asher couldnt help but think what if annie really does like me? do i have a chance? after the mile finished everyone went to gym. during gym annie and kenzie sat at a table together then the rest of the gang came too.

ke:i have loved my morning so far
ac:how are you even awake enough to love anything. its 10:30 in the morning.
ke:come on anna, think about how amazing this semester is gonna be.
jo:actually kenz, i agree with her. last semester we had a way later lunch and its only the first day. she will get used to it.
an:okay. enough about the early ass lunch. who wants to come to my house for free period? last hour the school day.
as:ooh! can we go swimming?
an:fine.
jo:im coming too!
ke:i dont wanna miss out! im gonna go get a schedule change so i can come
an:okay bye

kenzie gets up and runs out of the room. minutes later she comes back.

ke:okay done. now my free period is the last hour of the day.
an:yay! another class together!

later that day everyone except for anna went to annies house. they all got changed into their bathing suits and went out to annies pool. the girls were tanning and the boys immediately jumped in. after about 10 minutes the boys snuck up on the girls, grabbed them bridal style, and jumped in the pool.

an:what the fuck asher?!
ke:your so dead johnny!

the girls started to chase the boys around the pool. annie caught up to asher and jumped on his back. they both laughed and annie jumped off.

an:your so stupid angel
as:i know im an angel. you dont have to tell me that

asher pretends to flip his imaginary hair and annie playfully rolls her eyes. annie gets out of the pool and kenzie swims up to asher.

ke:shes flirting
as:really?
ke:she called you angel and rolled her eyes. the only other person she has done that with is hayden and they dated for 5 years. go for it. right now is perfect.
as:i-

kenzie swims back to johnny before asher could finish his sentence. asher gets out of the pool and sits by annie.

as:annie. can we talk?
an:yeah sure ash, what about?
as:well...i like you. a lot. and i dont know if you feel the same way but you need to know that.
an:asher i-
as:you know what? dont reject me. im just gonna go...

asher stands up and walks into the house. he changes back into his clothes and leaves. annie is heartbroken sitting around her pool with kenzie and johnny. she cant get her mind off of asher and like any bestfriend would, kenzie notices.

ke:whats wrong?
an:asher told me he liked me. before i could say i liked him back he left and now i think he hates me.
ke:trust me annie. he is madly in love with you. i can see it just by the way he looks at you.
an:really?
ke:hell yeah! text him.
an:okay, i will.

kenzie hugs annie then goes back into the pool with johnny. annie texts asher.

an:hey ash, can we talk again?
as:yeah sure, but if your gonna reject me with actual words just save it. i understand.
an:actually, i wanted to do the exact opposite. i like you too asher. a lot.
as:really?
an:yeah really. im gonna go, but see you tomorrow at school.
as:okay bye anns
an:bye ash

(a/n: sorry for the crappy chapter. its currently like 3:00am for me and im trying to get a chapter out. im planning on doing a posting schedule so my life will be easier. anyways comment your opinions and ways to make the story easier and/or better)
