Yo, Quick authors note. All characters except Misty, Devin and Tom belong to Rick Riordan! So yeah... I think that's it...
_____________________________________________"Misty, you ok?" Devin asked as he walked up to me. "You look pretty pale."
"Yeah, I think I'll be ok."
"I don't understand. He said he knew how he would get back at Tom. But how? Judging by your face you have a clue."
I tried to make my heart calm down. Breath, be calm. "No, I don't. I have no idea what he means."
Devin stared at me with disbelief in his eyes. Something else faintly glimmered in them. Amusement? Sadness? I couldn't tell. "Misty, tell me the truth."
"Look, ok yes I have a feeling it's going to be bad. That's all I know. I don't know what he's going to do." I said with a sigh as I ended up giving up. I didn't want to push him away. He nodded and seemed more or less satisfied with my answer. A conch blew in the distance. Annabeth stood up. "Alright, it's dinner time. We will take you down there. You get to sit at the head table with Chiron since you haven't been claimed yet."
"Right, ok." Devin said smiling. He looked at me. "Come on. Let's eat."I wasn't very hungry. I mean sure I hadn't eaten since the night before but I had just gone through a time difference, Arizona to New York. I still followed them into the pavilion.
"Ok, the head table is over there. See you after dinner."
The three of us watched them go sit down at a table. We then walked over to the head table and sat down. I started tapping my fingers. I felt panicky. I realized everything that happened had finally caught up to me. I was at camp. After dreaming about it for so long it was true. I'm a demigod. My parents might've been demigods. I was alone at this camp with my brother and Devin for who knows how long. Chiron said I was powerful. And I'm not exactly the most athletic person. Breathe, I told myself. Inhale, four seconds. Hold, seven seconds. Exhale, eight seconds. I wasn't sure if I was having a panic attack or severe feel attacks. These books were my life. They were most of the reason I never killed myself. Devin looked at me.
"Hey you ok?" He asked concerned.
"Yeah. I think so. Everything is just starting to catch up to me. I dreamed of this so long, I never imagined it would be true though."
He nodded. "Yeah, I can understand that. I'm just glad that there is someone who I know here." He looked at me as he said that then looked away. I blushed.
"Yeah. It would suck if I didn't have you two here. Anyways, I wonder when dinner is going to be here." I changed the subject.
"Hopefully it comes soon. I would like to get used to the time change soon." He said with a laugh.
Plates appeared in front of us quickly after that. I wished for toast with grape jelly and a ham and cheddar cheese omelet. Including a side of a honey bun. I waited knowing what comes next. I chose the part of my omelet that looked the best cooked, and the best piece of toast. I noticed Devin and Tom about to eat. Nudging them both I rebuked the two and told them about the fireplaces. (Sorry I don't remember what it was called 😁) Since we were at the head table we went last. I made sure those two watched everyone burning part of their meal for the gods. Finally we could go and Chiron led us over. I dumped the part of the meal I chose in. The smell was better then I expected. It reminded me of cookies baking and Indian bread and all things comforting. I felt hungry all of a sudden.
Thank you, I can't wait to figure out who of you is part of my family.
I sat down and started gulping food down. I felt ready to take on whatever was in store.__________________________________________________
Hey! Hope you enjoyed it 😄 I actually wrote most of it today. You know, since Halloween was last night. I had a great time. I have so much candy now ✌️
Indian bread is like a honey bun. I've had it at the state fair a couple times. It's bread covered with melted sugar I think. It's been awhile 😝
A new Doctor Who comes out tonight 👏
