Chapter XIII

The Sports Festival had kicked off like all the others in the past years and now it was time for the main event.

"Will all our contestants move to the waiting rooms as we announce our first match." Momo said from the stage as all the students did as told.

After yet another once in a lifetime performance at the sports festival. they had crowded this years winner and were now proceeding to The next event which would be the matches between the pro heroes and the top student of each class.

"Alright lady's and gentlemen we are now ready to begin the first ever pros vs student matches here at the sports festival! We want to thank everyone for coming out and principle nezu for the opportunity, and now with out further a due we give you the first of three matches which will be pro hero Ground Zero vs UA's newly crowned first year Hatago Ryusei!" Momo announced and the stands erupted in cheers.

Bakugo took the platform as did a nervous Ryusei.

"Alright kid show me what you got!" bakugo shouted as he got in his stance.

"Ugh Creati," he looked to Momo "I'm not feeling too sure about this." he said as his knees trembled as he faced the number two hero.

"Hey!" bakugo yelled "don't you dare think about backing out kid. Your the best out of all the losers that came up here right, or did they give the medal to the wrong kid." he said eyeing him

"No! it's just your a pro how can I ever stand a chance against the number two." he responded

"Grrr listen up kid!" bakugo shouted "I stood in your shoes before, I had to face off against the greatest hero there ever was the symbol of peace himself All Might!" he shouted "so don't give me that crap about not standing a chance if you want to run fine but don't think you'll get far being a hero if you think you can just run away from a problem you think is to big to handle, he taught me a lot that day but I learned that even if it seems impossible you have to give it your all because that's what being a true hero is. I faced the tallest wall anyone could aspire to be and I took it head on. Why, because that's the kind of hero I wanted to be." he said "so listen up kid grit those teeth and come at me with all you got, got it! anything less and you'll just get blown away." he said sparking his hands.

"Hai!" Ryusei said as he took a stance

"Alright ready, begin!" Momo said signaling the start

"Ahhhhh!" Ryusei charged at bakugo.

It was an astonishing match as Ryusei managed to land three successful blows on bakugo and managed to hold his own against the pro hero but in the end he couldn't keep up with the hero's stamina and got blown away.

"Nice job kid." bakugo said walking up to him.

"Thanks." he said dropping his head

"Hey hold your head up kid you didn't half ass it and gave it your all so don't go bumming yourself out." he said patting his shoulder as he walked past "keeping up the work and improve yourself and your quirk and who knows you might just have an offer on your desk next semester." he said walking off

"Ah hai." he said Turing to bakugo and bowing "I will, I promise."

"Well that was nice of you." Todoroki said as he was leaning against the entrance towards the waiting rooms.
