Chapter 14 - Now

Alexa’s P.O.V
It's been awhile but, surprisingly, nothing much has changed. Everyone is just happy, and to be honest this is actually the first time in a long while that I have genuinely happy. Louis and I have been going out for almost 2 years, the Where We Are Tour has just finished and everything is, at the moment, calm. That is before the hype and promo about Four will begin and then yet another tour. I just want to savour every moment that I can because I know that I won't be this happy for long. Something will have to come and fuck it up, it always does. But I’ve changed my motto from “Try not and fuck things up this time” to “Live in the now and don’t let anyone bring you down”.
"What are you thinking about Lex?" Louis invaded my thoughts, I was so glad that I had him. Of course, I didn't constantly have him by my side, like normal couples, as he toured the world; fulfilling his dreams, but I liked it the way it was. It made the times that we were together matter more, it made our actions more meaningful. Nothing could be done to wedge us apart. But I drew the line at “Lex” as I didn’t like the further shortened name that he frequently gives me just to annoy me. Well, I guess he will have to pay for that in someway.
"Nothing" I replied, smiling. I kissed him on the cheek as I hopped out of bed to try and make myself presentable for the outside world.
I walked towards the bathroom while turning the shower on, waiting for the water to warm as I hate to stand in the shower tying to avoid the freezing cold jet waiting for it to heat up. Placing my phone on the counter after turning the bluetooth to connect to the speakers that were in the shower. Yes, I had speakers in my showers they cost a bloody fortune but I saved my money for them as had a job. Yes, can you believe I have a job. It’s not much but I love it, i’m the Social media manager in Burberry. I can’t believe it either let alone you, Burberry for fuck sake!
“Can I join you?” Louis asked in his sexy and husky morning voice. Bingo! I, my friends have found the perfect punishment. “No” I replied in the same tone while gently pushing him out of the bathroom before he noticed what I was doing. It suddenly dawned upon him what I said, just in time for me to close the door in his face and lock it. Perfect, I really can be a bitch sometimes. But who cares, he knows he’s in the wrong now and he will be busy raking his brains for the cause of my annoyance.
“Please Lex?” I heard him whining outside of the door, gently knocking. I chose to ignore him as he needed to learn his lesson. “What did I do?” I started begging. Oh, c’mon, he knew that I couldn’t resist the begging voice. I knew that I was being stupid and mean but I’ll leave him. As I could hear footsteps going away, I guessed that he had given up. Guilt engulfed me as I increased the volume of the speakers.
