Chapter 34...
3 MONTHS LATER...
Astrid was now just over 3 months pregnant.
Since finding out the news about Astrid's pregnancy, Hiccstrid had been closer than ever. Hiccup had kept his word and was there 24/7 for Astrid. He was there when her hormones kicked in, went out whenever she had cravings for weird foods and there to hold her hair back and rub her back as she suffered with boring sickness.
When Astrid's parents had come back from being away for business, Astrid decided it was time for them to know the truth about Leo and what he had done to her. Listening to the news from their daughter made them both break down in tears, blaming themselves for not being there for her when she needed them or protect her from him. But Astrid explained how amazing and supporting Hiccup had been to her, and how they were slowly becoming an item. Hearing the news about Hiccup made some of their tears fade away with a smile.
All the feelings of pain and panic began to disappear slightly as Hiccup and her parents engulfed her into a large hug, holding eachother close from the pain and support.

PRESENT DAY...
"Baaaaabe?!?!" Astrid shouted. She was currently curled up on the sofa waking up from a small gap.
"Yeah?" Hiccup replied, poking his head out from the bedroom.
"Can I have my usual please?"
"Yeah ok... you weirdo." He chuckled as he went down stairs into the kitchen.
"Excuuuuuse me!" She laughed hearing him rummage through the cupboards.
Hiccup knew exaclty what her "usual"... the power of pregnancy cravings... pickles and vanilla ice cream. Just the thought made him feel ill.
He came back a few seconds later with a place of pickles and a small tub of ice cream. He put them on the table in front of the sofa where she was. She turned around gently sitting up and smiling lovingly at Hiccup... I guess hormones did have some positives. Bending down to give her a kiss, she whispered "thank you" before their lips met.
As they released, he chuckled.
"You're welcome m'lady"
Hiccup joined Astrid on the sofa as she opened the ice cream up and began to scoop out the ice cream with the pickles before putting them in her mouth and chewing. Watching her, Hiccup gave her a look of "🤢" as she ate.
"What?" Astrid asked with a mouthful of food.
"That is disgusting!" He said.
"No it isn't! It's so good! The mixture of crunchy and creaming is perfect!"
"No it's grim..."
"Yeah yeah yeah... Just remember I'm the pregnant one here!"
He laughed at her comment and pulled her close to him, resting his head on hers gently. Astrid leaned back into his chest as his hand gently caressed her small 3 month baby bump hidden under her t shirt. Although they were in their final few months of 6th form with the beginning of exams in 2 weeks, Astrid wanted to hide the bump as best as she could in the summer months from everyone at school, so no one would ask... as long as Leo kept quiet.
Rubbing her bump, he whispered to her.
"I love you so much... and you little one... you're daddy loves you too..." he said before kissing his hand and placing it on Astrid's stomach.
"We love you too... daddy" she smiled.

6 HOURS LATER
It was 02:16am.
Astrid was sleeping in Hiccup's bed with him. They were originally cuddled up but slowly moved out of grip so they were facing away from eachother.
They were sleeping peacefully until...
Astrid woke up with a sharp pain in her stomach. As though she was being stabbed constantly in her abdomen. As she gently sat up and turned on the side light, she gasped.
"H- Hiccup..." she whispered loudly, shaking him on the arm as she stared down.
"W- what?" He said very slowly waking up and running his eyes.
"I'm... Im bleeding..."
