Two weeks later...
The dreams are getting more aggressive. More scary. The skeleton...it gets closer to stabbing me. But, yet, when I wake up I find myself laying in my bed, perfectly safe, perfectly fine. They're becoming more real. The features on the monsters are more unique, more definition, more details.
I search through the bookshelf, my mind jumbling with thoughts. What if theses dreams...killed me? What would I do? Well, technically, I wouldn't do anything. I would be dead.
I try to find a book with the title including something like "Dream" or "Haunt", but I only find stuff like "How to Make your Dreams come True!" Classic Mum. Classic. Eventually, I collapse to the ground, and my eyelids grow heavy and begin to droop. My energy has run low, due to lack of sleep. My Mum has cancelled all my sports activities due to this lack of energy. Now, I just stay home in my PJ's reading and watching movies. Literally, everything tires me out. Everything. But I do not dare tell Mum or Lacey of these dreams. They'd freak out, bring me to the hospital, maybe I'd get a bed beside...Dad.Dad. He went to the hospital because he got pneumonia 5 years ago when I was 10 and Lacey was one. But he diden't come back. He just kept getting sicker and sicker. Right now he's in a coma. The doctors don't know why he went in to a coma. They thought he died at first, but his heart was still beating, even though it was a slow beat. I miss Dad. He was the best Dad ever. He would take me with him on his work trips to Paris and Brazil. He would take me golfing. Best of all, Dad would sing to me. Not just those nursery songs like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, he would sing me songs he made up. Beautiful songs.
But now he can't bring me on working trips because he doesn't work.
Now he can't bring me golfing because his legs don't walk and his arms don't swing.
Now he can't sing to me because currently, he doesn't have a voice.
Dad can't do anything for me, now.
I slowly exhale then inhale, trying not to let my eyes shut close. If I do, the nightmares begin, and I won't be able to escape the nightmares until I wake. I've tried to use my nightmares from the Dream Haunter- yes, I believe in them now- as clues. I've begun to observe the atmosphere as a starting clue. I find myself, in the nightmares, in some sort of rundown fair or carnival. Its abandoned, except for me and the monsters. The reason I think its a rund down fair is because it looks torn a part- probably by the monsters- and the largest roller coaster in the fair collapses to the ground with a loud BOOM! that always makes me shudder. After the roller coaster collapses, the monsters start coming out of there hiding spots. The dream feels so long, but it is only for the night.
Its scary to think that I could be haunted by the Dream Haunters for the rest of m life. I'd go insane, To tell you the truth, I'd rather die insted of being insane or being haunted.
I finally let my eyes close, and they happily do. But once they do, the nightmare begins...
I walj through a run down fairground. I here a loud "BOOM!" and the big roller coaster crahes behind me, and monsters start appearing out of the shadows. Wait! Monsters?! On comes close and screeches in my face-
I wake up to screaming. Except its not my screaming. Its Lacey.
