I hate how I've been trained to lie straight through my teeth during interrogations but once a cute boy asks me something, I'm done for. That has got to be saying something about my method of training.
"Um actually I'm not going to the Homecoming dance," I managed to sputter.
"And why is that?" he countered and I quickly thought of something believable.
"Well you see, Georgie is taking me to Idaho for the weekend to visit my family because I haven't seen them since moving over here," I said feeling somewhat proud of my answer.
"Oh I get it, don't worry about it then. Call me when you get there yeah?" he asked.
"Will do," I smiled and headed back to the car. I sighed and strapped myself into the seat.
"You are one bad girl," Blaire said scolding me.
"I know I feel so- wait, how did you know what I told him?" I asked. We were standing far enough for Blaire not to hear our conversation.
"I could see the face of disapointment and rejection on Eric from all the way over here. Plus I can read lips but the face confirmed my suspicions," Blaire said shrugging her shoulders.
"I didn't mean to come off as bitchy or anything but Jacob asked me first and I'll take any chance I can get to closer to him. The faster we prove Mr. Callahan is innocent the better," I explained.
"Wait, you think Mr. Callahan is innocent?"
"Well everyone is innocent until proven guitly right?" I said.
"Yeah but are you sure that's the only reason you think Mr. Callahan is innocent?" Blaire raised a questioning brow.
"Are you saying I'm bias?"
"Well ever since you actually met Jacob you haven't complained about the mission what so ever,"
"Well I'm just being cooperative! I can't help it if Jacob is a genuinely nice guy," I retorted getting mad at the accusations.
"Look I'm not saying Mr. Callahan is innocent or guilty, just remember that you're only talking to Jacob to get closer to the mission. Don't think that Jacob isn't capable of lying. I mean we're all posing as average cheerleaders, don't you think he's capable of doing the same?"
"Are you telling me Jacob is posing as a cheerleader?" I laughed.
"Charlee! You know what I mean. Just because he looks and acts nice doesn't mean he's innocent. Plus you should know better than anyone else that in this business, it's dangerous to get attached to anyone. Don't forget to keep your guard up," she stated seriously. I nodded my head but couldn't help but think, what could be so bad about Jacob Callahan?
After that small dose of reality check we made our way to my house. After the car was parked we made our way upstairs to my room. I let Blaire borrow some pajamas and showed her to my bathroom. While she showered I removed all the makeup from my face and decided I would shower later.
"Sorry, all we have is leftovers," I apologized as we grabbed food from the fridge to take upstairs. We were going to watch a Teen Wolf marathon in my room and obviously we would need food but we haven't gone grocery shopping in a while and I can't find any money for pizza.
"It's still better than the food at my house," Blaire laughed and grabbed a plate of food. We headed back up to my room to watch our marathon. Stiles had a gun pointed at his head and even though I've already seen this episode, I got lost when Blaire paused the show out of a sudden.
"What are you doing?" I asked her.
"I was thinking that even though I'm not sure how I feel about Jacob, he's still a hottie and you're technically going on a date with him tomorrow. This means I've got to get you all prepped and ready!" She squealed happily.
